I’ve never seen their d’s so I’m not sure I could rank them.
I’d say McConthany probably has the smallest. If I had to take an educated guess.
Oh no. I misread the title.

Chase needs to be put out to pasture. Is what it is.Need to get Popo & Chase more burn at MLB.
Alderman is not good.We will see Markeith Williams more, Guidry was already talking about giving him more reps at CB before the Duke game, but whatever the case we’ll see him either at S or CB more going forward. I agree Kiko plays way too much. That was extremely difficult to watch Chase cover their RB but that was one play to be fair. Would like to see Cam Pruitt and Bobby Washington get more reps. Bobby Washington was in the game on Cal’s last scoring drive when Kiko made the game ending INT, so they are beginning to trust him more. Def want to see Popo more if he isn’t still hurt. I saw LB Alderman more against Duke.
I still believe Harris has the yips. But whatever the case we need Zaquan more. Harris is literally on skates out there, he plays totally scared and lost. He stays in a perpetual state of Recovery. He is never in an advantageous position on any play.
Put Markeith at FS, Porter back at outside CB, Powell at Nickel and Zaquan at SS. The safety play is squarely on Guidry, it’s his biggest failure this season. He has to fix it.
The DBs after 25 got hurt looked much better IMO. And when I say much better I mean the personnel on the field I think they will be better. With powel at nickelI just wanted to put into perspective (for myself really). Just how deprived from difference makers this defence really is. I'm not sure how much falls on the players vs the staff. But interested to see what you guys agree / disagree with. This is NOT mean't to bash the players. They don't put themselves on the field, or choose to play out of position. Thoughts?
Tier 1 - College Playoff Caliber
1. Bain - He's the most disruptive DLineman Miami has had since Warren Sapp.
2. Barrow - He's the only DT that's causing any TFL's and has an incredible motor.
3. OJ - The only corner we have that has shown any man-to-man ability
Tier 2 - ACC Champion Caliber
4. Mesidor - Playing out of position making enough plays and does't make mistakes.
5. Wes - He plays fast and he's violent.
Tier 3 - ACC Caliber
6. Powell - Limited athlete. High IQ.
7. Kiko - Limited athlete. Low IQ. Unreal effort.
8. Baron - Looks like Tarzan Plays like Jane. Alston is much better imo
Tier 4 - ACC Back Up Caliber
9. Daryl Porter - Better on the outside. Looks to have lost confidence.
10. Dyoni Hill - Assuming he starts now... He's a movement behind on almost every play.
11. Harris - He's a SS that has made almost no impact plays in the run game and can't cover. Bad combo.
I agree with all of thatAlderman is not good.
Chase is not good.
Kiko is not good.
Wes is ok.
DBs are too terrible to even fully grasp how poor LB play has been.

I was watching Kansas St blow all my parlays that were hitting last night & saw this play live. Imagine having linebackers that have this kind of capability,
Miami is hurting badly on the back two ends.
OJ - agreeOJ belongs on Tier 2.
Wes belongs on Tier 3.
Kiko belongs on Tier 4.
Baron might be Tier 2.
Hill & Harris are Tier 37.

Yep, and he loves to tackle shoulder high. He needs drop down a little. He had an unnecessary late hit against fsu with a forearm to the upper back and has several facemasks because he recklessly goes high with his arms. Seems like he's too upright. Mesidor and Bain are good examples of getting low when needed.Baron came out the gates hot!! Then poof.
Did you see Chase on that one play at the end? dude is crazy slow...My biggest issue so far with Guidry aside from very slow adjustments and slow starts is Kiko getting so many reps. Need to get Popo & Chase more burn at MLB. And I think Zaquan is finally starting to put Harris into a backup role thank God. With Richard being hurt though I'm guessing Meesh might play more nickel and I'm not sure who gets more of his safety reps.
1st 3 games made me think Jalean Philips had returned. The liesOJ - agree
Wes - Tier 4 (and Wes is my guy, but he's playing worse than Kiko)
Kiko - agree
Baron - Tier 3. I think the Florida game fooled us to thinking he was something better
Hill & Harris - Tier 137
Guess not. Feels like the only noticeable linebackers are Kiko & WBDid you see Chase on that one play at the end? dude is crazy slow...
