3 Games in the mid 2000s that will prove the Canes have been cursed.

Where it all went wrong:

Jan. 3rd 2003 Fiesta Bowl

Terry Porter threw the infamous PI penalty on Glenn Sharpe. The play that started the downward spiral. The Canes haven’t been right since that frightful night.

Dec. 30, 2005 ChickFila Bowl

LSU lead by a back up QB handed the Canes their worst loss in bowl history 40-3. There was a reason why Coker was never hired by another big time program.

Nov. 10, 2007 Closing of the OB

No. 23 Virginia ended Miami's 70-year stay at the famed stadium in stunningly one-sided fashion. Dealing the Hurricanes the biggest shutout loss in Orange Bowl history.

Who helped tear the OB down? And the family continues to curse the Canes to this day.

The curse continues to this day:

Nov. 23rd 2019 Marlins Park/OB

The OB continued the curse of the Canes when FIU defeated the Canes 30-24. FIU record since that game is 1-14.

Fire James. Fire Manny.

Hire a competent AD and Head coach and Hire Daniel Bush to be the football recruiting coordinator.

Completely agree with the above.
 
These games were just the natural progression of a decision made in early 2001. The curse began with the decision to bend to the pressure of the players and hire Coker for the head coaching job.

If they had gone out and hired a qualified coach with head coaching experience, Miami's football program would have had Alabama-esque domination.

At the same time, why bemoan the past? Let's learn from the past and get back to that level.
