The costs of Defense.... (and other positions)

Yeah why are coaches salaries seemingly exempt from all the consternation about how athletic departments are losing money because of NIL?

It is almost as though coaches believe they should continue to make obscene amounts of money and the players/talent receiver very little. What an odd system that would be.

The dialogue behind that type of stuff is very funny, I dont even know how people justify it. Its weird, the kids banging their heads on field are generating all the income, should they not get a piece of pie..

Basically comes down to I dont want some brat 18 year old making alot of money or something it seems is what I see on like twitter or such..

I am sure their were coaches who could ***** up with the talent Bama had, but very few would not have won NC's with Bama talent and resources. Their was literally no one else until UGA until the last few years of his run. I believe Saban was hired in 07. Jimbo gave him his only challenge at talent when he was hired in 10. FSU had the 2nd ranked class in 11 and was in the top 5 for 3 or 4 years. That and Winston won FSU a title in 14 I believe. Dabo won titles, but without the talent Saban had. Between FSU somewhat and UGA no one challenged Saban's bags in recruiting. It's a joke.

Well, it knocked him out of his job.

When EVERYONE is paying players - he lost his edge in recruiting.
Having Emmert cover for him, like putting that damned cloud over Miami so he could cherry pick players, and having Emmert look the other way when he cheated.... Yeah, I'd say he lost every competitive edge he held at Alabama.
