I don’t think it was a bad stoppage at all.

Bell stopped fighting & after Abdullah started applying pressure from the 7th round on.

The straight left hook to the head caught'em & completely knocked the wind out of Bell & put'em on the canvas. He didn't even try to get up until the ref came & helped him up.

It was clear it was over, especially after how worn down he looked in the 11th.

Bell ran out of gas & got beat.
 


The ref clearly asked him if he wanted to keep going & Bell shook his head no.

He quit. He didn't have anything left after that 2nd knockdown.
 
Loved to see Mason overcome adversity that wasn’t just him getting knocked down like in previous fights but he had to think his way out of this situation,as he gets older he will add more tools to his game so he can get his offense off in different situations.

I felt like in this fight it was too easy for bell to force him to reset his offense, but his confidence never wavered which was good to see. Was a good gameplan by bell and his camp but the youth and power outlasted him

I hated the stoppage, the ref was letting them fight thru clinches all night, he was hands off then in the 12th he stops it prematurely

Feels like he robbed mason of a signature comeback ko in his hometown, robbed bell a chance to get up and finish the fight. But it is what it is

that was one of the most horrific stoppages I've ever witnessed. That wasn't even a knock down, he was pushed down. And he was shaking his head in disbelief that the ref stopped it. He did not quit and should have been given a chance to finish the fight. That ref should never be allowed to work a title fight again

He had been knocked down right before that & it was absolutely a knock down.

He got caught with a quick left to the head & tried to grab Abdullah to hold himself up to keep from falling.

He was very clear stunned & did not attempt to get back up.

It was not a bad stoppage at all.

Bell got knocked down back to back & didn't try to keep fighting.

He was 100% lost.

He was hurt. And that was not a knock down. A punch must be the reason you go down, not a push. And although he probably wouldn’t have survived the round, it was a brutally bad stoppage. Fighters have come back from WAY worse to win, and more so to at least see the last bell.

A punch was the reason he went down.

He only got pushed because he was holding onto to Abdullah trying to hold himself.


You must have missed the knocked down that happened before the stoppage

It was back to back knockdowns.

If it was such a horrible stoppage, then Bell would've just got up as soon as he went down. He didn't get up immediately because he got rocked & was dazed, hence why he was literally taking a knee.

The ref bends down & asks him if he's good, he shakes his head no.

If you get knocked down & the ref goes down to ask you if you can continue to fight, you say "YES IM GOOD" & then you get up.

Taking a knee after being knocked down TWICE & telling the ref "NO", is tantamount to quitting.

I watched the entire fight and I respectfully disagree, but I'm confident he would have gotten him up out of there without the refs help
