(The) Championship (Game)

I still can't believe nothing is being spoken of IU's DL depth problems. They lost Kellan Wyatt earlier this season, as well as Stephen Daley, the FBS leader in TFLs, to a bizarre freak injury celebrating after winning the Big Ten Championship.

Make no mistake - this is the best OL Indiana will have faced, sorry Iowa. They better be ready for trench warfare.
In ***** Connelly's preview on ESPN he assessed the opposing trenches as pushes, which is ridiculous. We have the clear advantage our OL vs their DL. If Moten and Mesidor are truly healthy we have a clear advantage our DL against their OL.

The dominant wins over fraud Bama and fraud Oregon have clouded everyone's judgment.

Bama was a fraud. Oregon........kind of but more than anything they just beat themselves.

-First play of the game pick six and no Ponds didn't jump anything! The throw was left way to far to the inside and it was telegraphed allowing Ponds to be in the area despite being in off C3. If Moore had even looked at the other side he'd have seen that Indiana's other boundary CB bit crazy hard on the flat routes leaving no one in the deep 1/3rd to take the corner route which I think qualifies as a mistake (I thought Indiana didn't make those?). Moore could have just lobbed it out there and it's a huge gain or TD depending on which receiver it was.

-Moore just dropping the ball, unforced fumble......in the first 20 minutes he gave Indiana 14 points.

-At that point they have to start passing and it's not surprising that IU got a legit strip sack which created another TD. Oregon got a strip sack as well when their stationary RT got smoked around the edge, more mistakes...I thought IU didn't make them, by a true freshman but the ball bounced straight up and back into Mendoza's hands.

You spot any team 21 points in the 1st half and you are very likely to get a blowout.

A common theme this playoff is how much the conference perception plays into analysis, even it’s not explicit. Every team we’ve played has thought their “tougher” schedule had prepared them for us. IU, like the other teams we beat before them, have feasted and run up their data points on teams that aren’t great. They rolled two teams and now they are feeling themselves. I have yet to see any team we’ve played match up on both lines. And until that happens, we have a chance to win the game

I watch a bunch of Sam's videos on Youtube, and he often makes sensible points - but his video saying Indiana has a trenches advantage against us is amusing in such a stupid way. Indiana is without Stephen Daley, that's like if we lost Bain.

You're going to tell me Sam that Iowa has a better OL than us? Give me a ******* break! This is the best OL Indiana will face. They won't be able to get pressure with just 4, and have to blitz. Then we carve them up.
