They are a good team with a lot of grit. Solid ACC teamA lot of injuries and maybe WF is better than we thought

Noted… my bad—Notice how I said “since the 02 team.” Nowhere did I compare them to that teamSorry, I’d tell you take of the green & orange glasses but it would be. A fools errand
No way this team is on par with ‘02 and definitely not as good as last years team
Might wanna walk that one back
Yes, I do think this team would definitely beat the 25’ team
I'm not a Oline genius. We never sub anyone on the Offensive line was my biggest issue. Need to put Jackson at tackle and move McCoy inside. Having SJ, Rod and Max in the middle of the line is not good. It won't hold up against bigger strong DT later this year. Take the W. Hope the team heals up
Was it the O or Dawson?FSU game from last year. Offense just put the engine in park with the E break on.
How many snaps did Cantwell and Cogden get? I didn’t see much of them at allMiami wins 33-20, but did anyone else get East Carolina 1999 vibes? That was a game that they lead 24-7 in the second half and then fell apart. Or a bit like last years FSU game, where they nearly squandered a 28-3 4th quarter lead. Again, these Cristobal teams still have to learn how to truly finish. They won, but in truth it's a game where the coaches will have a lot to say this week.
- Darian Mensah was surgical early and then struggled late. The Canes offense looked unstoppable early on and then quite frankly, played scared late in the game. But I do wonder if Malachi Toney and Mark Fletcher were a bit banged up as they were on the sideline for key drives on early downs. Regardless, that one drive where they basically threw three screens was infuriating.
- Defense, up and down, and then up again. Bad first drive, then a good stretch, then they cracked a bit at 31-7 giving up consecutive TD drives. But I give them credit, they bowed up late. If they just make routine tackles for sacks on a gutty Gio Lopez, the game would've been different.
- I still wonder if the Miami defense is better off playing more man coverage.
- The run game was there at times, but then it bogged down late. Mirabal is still probably looking for his best five.
- Damon Wilson, one really bad penalty on the roughing the passer, but he did make his presence felt in the second half consistently. He drew penalties and provided constant pressure.
- OK, a win is a win. But this is a win that shows that the Canes are still very much a work in progress on both sides of the ball.
Can SJ actually play center? I don’t think him and our current center are that good but I also thought Markel Bell sucked and they made him good so I’m hoping to be wrong again.I try to be patient about these things , but I’m officially worried about the two guards . They have to at least consider moving McCoy back to guard and putting Cantwell at RT, or just living with Cantwell at guard .
The guy who has really disappointed me is Buchanan . I knew SJ wasn’t a guard long term but I thought Buchanan would at least step up and solidify one of the two guard spots.

with injuries mounting- depth withering away - key niche players gone- the Clemson game on the road - who has more “dudes” (from a recruiting/NFL projection) than Wake Forest- does not seem as certain as I imagined. Id like to see Belichek beat them today and demoralize them.
Oklahoma drill Sunday - Thursday.
That should help with the injury issues. LOL.
