We need somebody in finances/accounting/marketing/whatever to put something together to show the potential profitability of bringing Butch back versus the cost of buying Golden out.
How much we stand to lose by keeping Golden for another year versus cutting ties now and reinvigorating the program by hiring Butch. Not only do we have to pay Golden $2M+, but we also have to pay some lame duck assistants and ticket sales are sure to drop with Golden coaching for another year.
Hiring Butch again, I'm sure will cause tickets sales to go up. Not only ticket sales, but merchandising as well. A winning football team impacts enrollment as well. This is proven.
