Stop grasping for straws. If he has a championship pedigree, he would of shown it for now. Just shut up about the comparisons.

Butch won the title in 2000. Had the best team in the game that year, and everyone knew it, but a computer ****ed us. As OU fans, they will openly tell you they were joyous that the BCS formula ****ed us. After that sham, the formula was changed btw. The following year, Miami won the title as the greatest team in college football history. That's what Butch accomplished by his 7th total year as a HC.

In Al Golden's 7th total year, he was 7-5 and fielded the worst defense in the history of our program. After having accomplished nothing as an assistant coach in his life.

Butch was losing by 60 to syracuse... Saban was .500 with mich st... Facts

That's true..but he also came back with some notable wins..in fact both coaches did.....Davis beat a top 5 ucla the next week and Saban beat a pretty good michigan team his first year. Saban also beat #1 ohio st * at the shoe.

As you can see..mixed in with growing pains were some notable on field results.....something that hasn't been seen from Golden.

Btw, Saban took over a probation mich st team.

Can you show us who Golden has beaten his first 4 years here?
