People will watch for the same reason they watched mayweather fight, to see a win or a loss.

This is only Nielsen, which doesn’t cover all the networks. Miami is #1 in the ACC when everything is totaled.

I hear.
About to say. We were ahead of FSU and they haven’t even had any marqueee match ups this year aside from bama

Behind Vandy? I know they're SEC, but ****.

Observations - ESPN has a steal of a deal with the SEC and the B1G is ******** over Fox and the rest of their TV partners. ESPN is paying less than the B1G is getting from Fox and pals for a conference with 13 teams in the top 20 by viewership. B1G has 3 schools in the top 20, the same as the ACC. The Big 12 has no one in the Top 20. So, ESPN has 16 teams under its control between the SEC and ACC, Fox has 3, and NBC has 1.

If I were the B1G, I might be sweating that the TV renewal will not continue being a cash cow.

Ahhhhhh yes… the Bayonne Bleeder. I’ve met both in that photo. Wepner told me he inspired the Rocky movie. Spent some time with the Greatest as well. One of my lifetime highlights for sure.
I boxed for the Police Athletic League on Miami Beach when I was a kid and we trained at The 5th St. Gym. I remember seeing Ali around the gym often. He would even help out with the team from time to time.

I’ll never forget the day he helped me out when I was working on the heavy bag. He corrected my stance and even showed me how to use my left jab. One of my fondest childhood moments!

They’re just collateral for playing the top sec teams.

The ratings differences between ABC games and ESPN games still blows my mind. There’s really that many people out there who don’t have cable or streaming. Even lower tier games in network TV get good ratings. I’m assuming a large portion of SEC country is still watching on rabbit ears
