Texas and Georgia are great areas to recruit, but I always wondered if the Canes could also recruit other areas of the state of Florida for QBs. Michael Penix jr. at Indiana is from Tampa, and Mac Jones at Alabama is from Jacksonville. That’s just the current top 10 college football teams. There are more I could name at other programs.
I wonder because I recall seeing Jones (and his dad I think) visit for a couple of Canes games when Richt was coach, and I believe Penix would have been interested if offered.
