The biggest problem facing Miami…

Miami had 15 penalties for over 200yds in the 1991 Cotton Bowl and smashed Texas 46-3......If you're good enough even the refs can't stop you!!!

I’m fine with the penalty yardage but would prefer it to be excessive celebration instead of false starts
👆VERY underrated porst here.

Guess which conference has half of the bottom 10.

Why are teams not making a bigger deal about the out of control ACC refs? Also Pitt was making mock calls and clapping at our Oline without being reprimanded by the refs .. Mario was losing his **** on the sidelines.

It’s no excuse we need to do better but every team is doing it to our Oline and it’s been called once.

2/3 of the penalties are on the offensive line. Aggressive teams are always going to have penalties and you live with the occasional off sides or pass interference because guys got a little too aggressive but the fact that our line false starts three or four times a game when our head coach is just a de facto line coach is something they should be ashamed of
Just going to post this. I would guess the majority is on the OL.

Followed closely by unsportsmanlike conduct

Penalty yards per game has never been a great indicator of anything. Alabama under Saban was pretty bad a lot of years.

It's more about when you get those penalties. The 30 yards of penalties against FSU on one drive was WAY different than the couple false starts we had against Pitt. That's the stuff you need to avoid. False start on 3rd and 1 is different than a false start on 1st and 10.
Those false starts and other procedural penalties are major issues against good teams. It’s one thing to convert 3 and 18 or 19 versus Pitt at home, but against good teams in the CFP those are drive killers. If we go into South Bend and start putting ourselves into 3rd and long situations because of self inflicted penalties it’s not going to go well for us, especially with this line’s issues in pass pro.

60 is not terrible. How many calls like the missed facemask on Miami against FSU has there been? Seems like one 15 yarder per game. I will a basketball example. You are playing zone defense and the opponent is playing full court man to man. Most of the time the more aggressive team will foul more.

The biggest problem is Miami fans that can't stop and enjoy the moment. They are stuck in 2020 thinking Diaz is at the helm and finding every possible thing to nitpick about. You can find more negative posts then positive. A real shame when you have the #1 team, two best players, best offense, best culture and best recruiting team in the land. But hey, let's just focus on how many yards the 3rd string defense gave up in the last game.
