The biggest problem facing Miami…

[Deejays Ace]

…is Miami.

#95 is unacceptable. Get that cleaned up before Notre Dame.

That’s just who we are under Mario. We’ve always been in the 90–100s. It is what it is

[Go Canes!!]

Check out the penalties per game for the 2001 team.

This is one of Mario's best years. His teams usually rank in the 100s

[90scane]

Now can you grade that based on the number of penalties by the 2nd&3rd team vs 1st? Maybe @CanesCommandCenter has penalties per player?

[Applecane]

A perennial contradiction: The coach who demands accountability and discipline runs one of the least disciplined teams in college football in terms of penalties...

Not a ND post at all bud?

Also, I’m not playing UNC this week, I’m a fan. I can look ahead lol.

This will always be bad for us, and good for Notre Dame. It is what it is

Guess which conference has half of the bottom 10.

[90scane]

Don’t home teams get favorable calls more than road teams? Miami has played 4 road and 3 home with 2 road games left and 3 home.

With ND playing 4 road games, they better be at the top.

Facts, the penalty issue went away in the playoffs.

[CanesAreAble]

The CMU game probably skews things.

It felt like the refs were out to get us that night.

Another reason why I expect us to play better in the playoffs.

We don’t have to worry about crappy ACC officials.

[NE Canes]

I'll never understand why this is always a problem here.

Based on the comments I guess there won't be too many complaints when someone commits a bad penalty that leads to losing.

[L A M P]

Notre Dame at #1 is so typical. Don't even try to hide it.

Fran Brown in last is hilarious. And expected.

[CaneManeShane727]

I wouldn't place too much stock in this. Not all teams get the same calls as we've seen. You can't fix a facemask that was actually a swipe of the chin. Or a roughing the QB where the defender was engaging to tackle before the ball left the QB's hand. Our receiver got capsized as he reached for a ball and we got no call. Now, when other teams simulate snaps and it is sparingly called < this is something is think we can improve on for sure. We should not be reacting to anyone but Mensah.

[skyman]

Special teams **** me off, off gp..

[ghost2]

Crappy refs aside, this is what Mario's teams have always been, even at Oregon. Sucks but unlikely to change, and exacerbated by the horrific officiating.

A perennial contradiction: The coach who demands accountability and discipline runs one of the least disciplined teams in college football in terms of penalties...

It’s a crafty subterfuge, meant to mislead our opponents during preparations against us…it’s probably why we’re 7-0…
