The biggest concern for this FSU game is Beck..

With a bye week, Beck will play about the same as ND imo. Nothing great, nothing crazy (as in bad). This defense ain't Florida. He will probably have 1 int.

the board spent three years mocking 'bro ball" only to turn around and brag now about how we're more physical than every team

Miami was 22-16 over those 3 years with bowl losses to Rutgers and Iowa State. The board was right to mock that.

On the pick vs UF, he had a checkdown or could have taken 5 yards by ground. Easy to correct in film study and discussion with OC.
This. On this team, Carson doesn't have to be Superman. He just can't be reckless, like he was on that pick against UF. I think he'll be fine. FSU at Doak against a defensive scheme that will try his patience by design will be a good test though.

If you don't love bro ball when your line and backs are as good as ours, you need to get your Testosterone checked. That **** is beautiful. That tippy tape, quick screens to the sidelines is borderline ghey.

I don't think we should go ground and pound O and control the clock early in the game. We need to use tempo and jump on them early.

They're going to try to run as much time off of the clock as they can to limit our possessions. And they want us to do the exact same thing. That's their only chance to keep things close.

We went ground and pound against ND and UF and ended up with 5 possessions in the first half of both games. We scored 14 and 13 points.

It kept the games close. We led 14-7 at the half against ND and 13-7 against UF at the end of 3.

We had 8 possessions in the first half against USF and scored 28 points.

There’s a difference between running a scheme that fits your players vs one that does not fit your players.

Bro ball only works now because of our OL. We probably could have done it last year too but that would’ve been monumentally idiotic to do it with a QB like Cam.

We didn’t have that liberty vs UF for a myriad of reasons. Beck needs to find his groove so we have the option to either pass it or run bro ball.

I feel like there's a lot of overlap between the people so worried about Beck all offseason and the ones worried about him now.

Oh, and the CIS Noles.
Well I know myself I was a lil worried about him being so busy with that chick and not being around his teammates enough in spring. Hindsight I still would've liked to see that differently. BUT I have zero concerns about him now. He has a professional approach to the game and he processes things well for the most part. I see the people who have concerns about when you have to move the pocket on him somewhat. But with our line that's minimal. People who wanna complain will always find a reason. **** em.

Brother the INTENT isn't going bro ball consistently. Honestly that's what fans should be most impressed by. In the past(even recent past)we went into a game with a game plan and we didn't improvise very much at all. We tried to force a square peg into a round hole. This was two things. #1 realizing our strengths vs the opposing teams weaknesses. #2 mother nature telling us she's gonna make **** a lot more difficult. Anyone that's played football knows when that rain starts pouring what do you do, you pound that ball. Turn it into a possession game because not much precision exists in those conditions. Let's embrace we can beat people any way necessary. That's what championship teams do. ***** the opinions. All that matters is wins and losses.

Apparently you didn't watch 2024 Carson. He still picked teams apart and threw for over 300 yards multiple times after making an early mistake. He threw 3 INT's vs Florida (only 1 was stupid) and still shredded them to pieces and led the game winning drive late. He led them back vs Alabama. He led them back vs GT. Lots of comeback games by Beck last season. He led us to the game clinching drive vs Notre Dame.

This is lame AF post. Talking about what if's had a pass he completed been intercepted. It wasn't. Let's try this what if.....what if it had been intercepted and he still went out there and won the game? Get your head in the game and stop this soft crap.

I'm good doing whatever gets us the W, which is why I haven't brought it up until now.

I do question if its a good idea to do it specifically against FSU though. These ******** are going to try to slow the game down as much as they can. Running the clock down and limiting our possessions is the only thing they can do to keep the game from getting away from them.

This is where analytics come into play. If we're trying to slow the game down and they're trying to slow it down..? We may only get 4 possessions in the half if we go that route. Alabama opened with a 16 play, 9 minute drive and they only ended up with 4 possessions in the first half.

I just hope we play with tempo early and grind them down later. Put them in a spot in the second half where they have to pass but can't get the ball back.

The biggest concern is the coaching matchup. Mario is atrocious as a road favorite and Norvell is elite as a home dog.

Bc the only way FSU wins, is if our staff gets out-coached.

You really counting bowl games with all the opt outs? I was told on this board bowl games are meaningless.
We lost the games. Your argument is that 22-14 shouldn't be mocked? Nice one.

You were also told the portal was not sustainable, Miami was going to the SEC and B1G and 100% going back to Nike... same heroes were wrong on all 3...
