The better team won

if mario doesn't have 5 stars all over his team he can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag
He still can’t coach his way out of a wet paper bag with 5 stars. The dude stunk at Oregon if you dive into it. Will be no different here

WTF does the BOT have to do with the team right now? Their lack of ***** given in the past has nothing to do with how the team has performed this year

I disagree. Their decades of neglect have put us in this position. Being cheap and trying to bargain bin shop for coaches instead of keeping up with the modern era of college athletics. If even a few of them would have stepped up and realized that Blake James wasn't it as our AD and that to run a top tier program you have to actually spend money then this turn-around could have happened years ago. Instead they chose to keep the status quo and it's lead us to this. So yes, I think that they have blood on their hands too.

We don’t have a cheap staff situation now. They gave everything Mario wanted.

Exactly, what they've done this year should have been done a decade ago. If they don't go cheap and hire a real coach instead of Onion then there's a high probability that we're not in this position. All this new found wealth and spending on athletics isn't going to fix things overnight. But our growing pains should have happened years ago and not now in 2022.

We have no one on this team that can take a simple play and turn it into a touchdown. Everything has to go perfectly right in order for us to score a freaking touchdown. When we do score it just looks like it takes everything we have. Smh
there are no players on this team you are 100% correct

BS....we are a better team...but our team somehow cannot get out of its own way...
Knighton fumble was a killer...BS plays from the 1 yard line....drop on 4th down by Mallory...
Plus a few breaks that didn't go our way...like BS flag on Brashard big time return that literally took us back like 60 yards...BS clock continue by ref when we went out of bounds...stuff like that
The defense actually really played well in second half...we shook them...and held them under their averages points per game....

That’s a completely different argument than what Mario is doing now.

This team looks worse on offense, and at best, the same on defense and special teams, despite a massive investment.

Look, it sucks to lose but we went up against a more talented team and lost by a field goal, it is what it is.

Their guys caught better, blocked better, tackled better, and didn’t fumble in critical moments. That’s a talent difference. We did, and that speaks to the ability of our players, not our coaches imo. Their players were better than our players.

It’s a rough year one for Mario but we need to give him time to upgrade the talent on this roster, bottom line

I generally agree with this and I don't.

Talent on paper is neck and neck comparable of you're going by the rankings.

It was a close game and again, on paper, that's the way it should be.

They made a few more plays than we did. That's all that game came down to. That's football and it happens.

Why people are freaking the **** out, I don't know. The time to freak out was after last week and before this game. This is literally the only game I've seen us play that wasn't a complete and total disappointment. I'm obviously excluding Bethune, that doesn't count.

I expected then to light us up more. Looked like it was going that way, we adjusted and players stepped up, so that's positive. We didn't give an inch and took it to them, but they made more plays than we did. You can't spot teams in what is essentially an even match up points as that then favors them.

Lots of work to do, we'll see what they can all accomplish. Everyone, coaches and players need to do better. Appreciate the effort though today.
