"The Bear" speaks up today

You fix it through recruiting at? We have 8 commits 2 months before ESP

The local media is so soft. They could hammer him with facts if they actually did research

I honestly believe someone high in the Board went to Kirk and asked him to address this in the manner that he did.

Kirk has supported Miami for years now, he absolutely loves it when they are doing well. Makes too much sense to not ask him.
Could have been a player?

Coker won with a elite roster chill. Rosters that are powerful are the best teams in cfb. When u stack at every spot u will be one of those elite teams.
They didn’t walk on campus as first round picks though. Butch’s staff developed them. That’s why the program declined under Coker. The players we were reloading with weren’t being developed plus you add **** recruiting classes

Someone made a phone call to nip this in the butt. Whether someone at ACC network, ESPN, or Blake and Julio. Quick change in tune from bear

Correct Idiom: Nip it in the Bud

Incorrect Version: Nip it in the Butt, Nix it in the Bud, Nix it in the Butt

This idiom references gardening. A flower that is “nipped in the bud” wouldn’t grow and blossom. This phrase is often used to suggest that by handling a something when it’s a minor problem, you’ll be able to avert a crisis.

It has nothing to do with anatomy.

Bravo! I think you hid the nail on the bed!

I'd call out every pathetic BOT member for the horrendous decisions they have made and approved. Fly the banners with their names for ESPN to see and push that pressure on down. Relieve the Prez, then the AD and finally firing Manolo DC Diaz...

If you think the segment on GameDay was targeting Manolo Sr I dont know what to tell you.

Friend whoever said it was targeting Manolo Sr? The Saturday segment was targeting UM football/athletics of which Manolito is the public face of. This put him as well as Blake on the hot seat on a National scale.

Today, there seems to be back tracking of that pressure by ESPN and even some of their contributors going out of their way to defend Manolito and absolve him of blame. Posters were claiming that this was due to ESPN getting a call from either Blake, Frenk and/or BOT putting pressure on them to retract. I was stating that pressure came from Manolo Sr. Never said segment was targeting him.

Pal,
Like I said Disney/ESPN DGAF about Manolo Sr (or Jr) enough to back down from the comments that were said

So they are beating the "ACC is wide open and we are 0-0" drum I see.

Fine OK. I can live with that, and if by some miracle that happens (I do not believe it will) then good. Well done Manny and Blake and company. You survive another year.

But by god as soon as we start losing to the UVA UNC NC St's of the world . IT IS FINISHED. They have nothing else to hold on to.

Have a great Day
I’d say UVA is a must win for Manny. The venom will be too much to overcome.

Ok fair enough. So why do you think ESPN is backing down? Having Bear make these clarifying statements and other contributors defend Manny’s analytic achievements? Or did they just decide they were too mean on their segment and want to reduce some of the sting?

The part people like David Hale are not getting is this is becoming a trend with Manny. The team looking absolutely unprepared going into games. LuCanes said it best in another thread..Manny wrote a 4 page rebuttal to the ESPN comments and it looked like he spent more time writing that than on the Michigan State gameplan! Against Bama we didnt look like a team that was given NINE MONTHS to prepare for them. Against Okie State we didnt look like a team that was given a month to prepare. Against UNC, we looked like a team that didnt even practice that whole week prior. The pattern is becoming clear and its too often.

We havent won a game against a real opponent since Nov 2020 against VTech! (Not counting Duke. Sorry but I think Duke literally had the minimum amount of scholarship players needed to even play the game that week. Duke probably would have forfeited if Cutcliffe didnt hate us so much and would be damned to give us the satisfaction.)
Do share the 4page rebuttal....need something to laugh at tonight. He shouldn't be writing anything, needs to be in the lab game planning for UVA. I'm actually hoping you were joking due to likely losing it if this coach of ours actually took time out his day to respond to ESPN commentators JUSTIFIED criticism.
