I’m not concerned whatsoever at dt, we have talent there and I’m sure one of our bigger Des will some times slide down to dt on pass rushing situations

The more I listen to the chatter, the less concerned I grow. But I've been fooled by the summer Kool-Aid once too often to be confident until I see it vs. ND.

At the very least, I want to them to be stout against the run. If they could also penetrate on passing downs, that would destroy opposing QBs given our pass rushers on the outside.

- The staff is preparing to be extremely aggressive in the flip market. They hope to use early success on the field, strong relationships, and financial incentives to flip players. Some of the key targets include RB Derrek Cooper, WR Tristen Keys, S Justice Fitzpatrick, DL Nolan Wilson, DT James Johnson, and DB Jett Washington.

Wash, rinse, repeat….

off rip the two dl i wouldnt waste any time on. I got my new offers out and i focus on them. lol
i see every last one of those as extreme longshots. if we flip 1 out of the 6 that would be huge

Not even James Johnson?

That’s 5 names and we still got guys like Pickett and Malik Bryant who made some plays last year too. I think Pickett is an elite talent and can really rush the passer he just got to get some more weight
Too much concern about Pickett's weight imo. Let the man play. Hes gonna be a playmaker

Lots of discussion about the DTs on various podcasts. General consensus is they're as expected. Nothing earth chattering about their practice performance. One surprising story was that Blay was the top portal kid across the defense most top P4 teams wish they had landed.
Why is the Blay part surprising? He has size and strength and can play the run and rush the qb. Fans just overlook the guy had 6.5 sacks last year playing NT
