No offense but what for? Dude barely played and when he did he didn’t make a difference.

I looked up his snap counts and it confirmed what I thought he only sniffed the field in garbage time.

Ball State - 6
FSU - 6
Wake - 5
Duke - 3

Louisville - zero
VT - zero
GT - zero
Cuse - zero
Cal - zero
Iowa St -zero

If Artavius Jones and/or Daylen Jones can’t provide that after redshirting then they need to seek shelter elsewhere

For depth which was the conversation and jones is more then depth once he adapts he’s a top 3 round talent at dt

Which was first, the chicken or the egg? LSU gets WRs drafted because their WRs are 5 star recruits. How many of their WRs drafted in the first were scrappy 2 stars who came out of nowhere? If Miami wants to get WRs drafted in the first round it needs WR recruits that have that talent level.

I just spent the last 45 or so minutes catching up on this thread, and I gotta say, this is peak off-season CIS. The whole board has gone from "we gettin' errboby" to "fire errbody" (a little exaggerated...a little). TOC doing TOC things, and 252...picking a tough hill to die on (I, for one knew it was sarcasm, but i guess I'm part of the problem...apparently). I will admit, I was waiting for a blue lot challenge, but i guess that now happens in the DMs...disappointing. Anyway, I can say that we've now identified the coach that will be this year's scapegoat (rightly or wrongly). From No D to Rumph to D No, this is a CIS tradition like none other. If I could just get a quick mongaloid reference, then the circle jerk will be complete...I think. Anyway, never change CIS, never change.

Agreed. Our top 5 guys are all 300+ lbs. The problem isn't size - it's depth. There's no one behind those 5 guys. We have no room for error there with regard to injuries.

How many teams can go 6+ deep at DT? For basically every team if they get past there 2 deep they are in trouble

Agree. It's a concern but it's a concern shared by everyone but about 10 teams in CFB. Mario is working hard to get us in that 10.

Johnson, Bacon, and, hopefully, a JJ Finch type guy would get us there within two years.

Your depth chart needs to be more than 6 guys (Russell is the 6th). Of course not all are going to be studs, but you need more than 6 bodies. I would guess most teams carry 8 or more.

So how do you turn that around idiot? Oh yeah …have the nbr 1 offense that features receivers…see how that works? At some point, you show elite receivers there’s a reason for them to come. We did that. Do we expect receivers results over night? No but there should be at least one elite guy in the haul.
