I don’t see it either. I just think when push comes to shove, LSU very, VERY rarely loses these. Especially not to Miami. But I’ll never fully count this staff out. I just think of all the elite elite elite croots Miami is in the game for (and good lord it’s a lot), he’s one of the least likely.

Glad to be wrong, obviously. But my money is on the Tiguhs come December.

All that being said, I have a really good feeling this is the best class Mario signs, on paper. Especially if we’re 4-0 at the end of September. We’ll be ranked Top 5 in the country and well on our way to a Top 5 class, if not higher. This guy is very, very much in the game for so many top 100 kids it’s insane.

I’d never invest the type of resources for Mississippi kids or Louisiana kids. Just not worth it with LSU/Bama/Ole Miss.

Yeah Cristobal has done a nice job of busting a lot of recruiting myths, but I don’t see him ever breaking the “will never get the #1 WR in the country” myth. It’s a simple cost benefit analysis for Cristobal. As evidenced by UM outspending UGA for Cantwell, we have the money to get a #1 WR but Cristobal simply doesn’t think HS WRs are worth top dollar. OL and QBs are, WRs are not. It’s like his philosophy on STs. Other than kicker, he doesn’t think STs matter as much as the other phases of the game. He’s not going to go high risk high reward on STs and emphasize PR or KR TDs. The downside of bad field position outweigh the upside of maybe 5-6 return TDs a season.

I don’t agree with his philosophy on WRs or STs, but he’s the one making 8 million a year so what do I know.
 
I was starting to feel a little better on Keys anyway, not to good. I think the Addidas deal just drove our odds way up. Their are 3 schools of his OV's with Addidas deals, Miami, Tennessee and A&M. LSU isn't one.

Not sure if I agree on WR. We have tried very hard there the past couple cycles and by try hard I mean $. Some of the guys, specifically 2 on OSUs roster, just still chose to not go to UM. All moot, it hasn’t gotten don’t but I’m confident that it won’t be due to us not ante’ing up. We need to follow up last year with another good, efficient, and high scoring offense this season. It won’t be #1 offense, but it can still be a very good, top 20 O. The “that was all Cam Ward” stench is still being used against us. We must counter that with on the field proof.
 
If we land keys Russel and cooper to go along with cantwell then we have a shot at the top class. But remember the top classes have been multiple five stars filled out with 4 stars and an occasional 3.

I just don’t see it with keys tho. LSU losing a miss kid at receiver? Their best spot as of late. And Russel may want to play hoops and idk how that’s gonna work with us. Plus we also want Lopez and he wants to hoop also. No way Lucas does us 2 favors

Bummed to hear some of latest key intel on a certain recruit I was hoping to lock up, but we still have a big, big weekend coming up and hopefully we come out with multiple commitments this weekend.
