I think the fact that Indiana just won a national championship with a team made up of mostly unknown transfers and UM also beat multiple teams consistently ranked in the top 5 in recruiting shows there might be a different way of doing business. And we narrowly beat an Ole Miss team that was made up of mostly transfers in the semi final game (which also beat teams that regularly rank as the top recruiting schools). Seems to me the way to win is put your biggest chunk of money towards elite, proven transfers, and then hit on player evals of high upside HS recruits (Bain, Toney, etc) . Maybe 2025 was just statistical outlier, but I think its was the culmination of where cfb was trending.
Correct.

No. That’s just good old fashioned bulls.hit. “BigDikDaddy” doesn’t rhyme with Detroit.

I went to UM on an academic scholarship combined with some grants and loans. I played football in high school. I was good - like All County good - but not great and being 6’0” tall on a good day while playing line isn’t a recipe for big time offers. Once I got to campus, I considered walking on. I worked up enough nerve to go to The Hecht Center, but a few stops prior to it, Kerlin Blaise and some other monstrous freak got on to the bus. Both dudes had to be 6’5” or better. When the bus got to Hecht, they both got off and I did not.
Timing is everything, you would have been the first guy off the bus under the Manny era…

Who is the best recruiter(s) on our staff? Would this guy(s) be viewed the same at lets say Texas, ND, or OSU? It's something I've thought about for a while in regards to us always struggling around this time.

We may need a Seider-type recruiter to help out so that Mario can be more of a closer rather than the coach who seems to do most of the heavy lifting.
If you're not sure! Then how do you know what we may or may not need?...judging by beards room and harris room and jt room we got some dogs already!
