Feldman is an interesting dude. He's a Cane alum and yet it feels like he doesn't really follow the program closely. Part of that can be attributed in part to us not being a dominant program lately, but whenever he speaks on the program you can tell he just goes to google and looks up a bunch of stats. I doubt he's watched an actual UM game since we played UF (can't say I blame him tho). I fux w him regardless.

Hope he's correct on Baker and the guy has grown into the job this season. He interviewed for the LSU DC job so there's something there.

lol and our fans are firing him daily. He’s a young coach that’s only going to continue to learn and get better. Y’all love to harp on a few mistakes from last year but with even a semi competent OC, we win at least 10 games.

Yeah just because he may have ppl looking at him doesn’t make him a good coach. He had way too much dumbfounding moments last year. Maybe it’s the jump in talent that he’s going against idk. At this point, he wouldn’t be a loss
I think the jump in talent level and coaching caught him by surprise. Manny definitely cucked him, but salute to the HC for not scapegoating him either.

You have to call a defense at Louisiana Tech differently than you would at Miami. Baker doesn’t need to out scheme his opponents here. He’s got horses he never had before. I like the basic concepts of Manny’s defense and the theory behind what they do. They just don’t need to overcompensate so much. They don’t need to gamble nearly as much to cause havoc here and I hope Baker has picked up on that.

iN 1957 LSU had two great college running backs. Jim Taylor and Billy Cannon. Rare a school has 2 that good on same team.Canes did have 3 once. Portis, McGahee and Gore. no I am not old. Just ancient

My take on Baker is he's in need of speeding up his learning process and have an open mind about tweeking his philosophy. I perceived it as ***** took over the D and it improved. Then got control back for the crosstown rivalry and went kerplunk. Definitely has to show improvement in adjusting.

1 year is way too early to make any judgment call. But last year was nothing noteworthy. Those season ending statistics get greatly skewed by playing some awful competition.

Same here. Hopefully if the D starts slow Manny jumps in a little sooner this season

He's a sports journalist. He'd look like an idiot if he constantly showed favoritism. Or rather, he'd look like Finebaum.
