So why is he visiting if he’s such a cancer?
We have a coach with multiple options and you say we are taking a visit from a dude with an injury, likely won’t be available for spring, and he’s a cancer.

Mario has been around cfb his entire life and likely has more connections than whatever source you’re getting it from.

We have 9 days till the natty and I’m sure Mario isn’t gonna take a 15 minute office sit down to make a decision. This is a job interview for the most important position on the team.
And we still have other portal kids visiting, make sure transcripts clear, medical evaluations etc etc.
Deadline to enroll is January 21.

He’s got to know who’s injured, game plan, media commitments, yeah he’s a little busy.


And Mario is gonna consider wasting valuable time one a dude like that?

A coach who all he says about his players is “most importantly he’s an incredible person from an incredible family”.
 
Very odd situation around Leavitt. On one hand, reliable posters and folks like Lake citing character concerns. On the other hand, multiple schools have brought him in for visits and with Mario’s relationship with Arroyo he would seemingly have access to first hand info on Leavitt and yet we’re still apparently bringing him in for a visit. So (1) the cancer reports are BS; (2) they’re real but we are either desperate or think any concerns can be mitigated with our existing strong team culture; or (3) we want to do our own due diligence and gauge for ourselves on a visit. An interesting situation for sure!

That is a difficult timeline to navigate, the NFL draft withdrawal deadline is Feb 7 and last date for spring enrollment is Jan 21. Even if he withdrawals, he wouldn't be able to enroll at Miami until summer and miss spring practice.

Bleh, he’s average imo. But if that’s who the staff thinks fits, then they’ve earned the benefit of the doubt and let’s ride.

He’s just not worth a bidding war imo.

I think he'd be a great pickup and I'm happy to concede that it appears he and his family haven't handled the process great. It's him versus Raiola or Longstreet at this point. I'm fine with any of the 3, but I think Leavitt has the highest upside for next year. Go get him Mario.
