The ACC Championship is meaningless. It’s really pointless right now.

It would be to difficult to do that because Miami would be top 3 or 5 in the polls
Remember though, it's the playoff committee that votes and provides the poll that matters, not the AP or Coaches' polls. In a couple of weeks, the committee's poll will come out and be used as the template for the rest of the season. We'll see how much they agree with the AP/Coaches' polls soon enough.

I think they make the playoffs. Probably need to win out to do that. Maybe can drop 1 more depending on how other things go. Wanna go even money with me we make the playoffs? $200 amongst gentlemen?
I don’t feel strongly about it either way… but I ain’t betting on my canes to fail.

If Miami wins the rest of our games, we'll be in the ACC Championship. If we don't, we won't, and we won't be in the playoffs either.

It is VERY unlikely that we make the playoffs without also making the ACC Championship.

I have watched this league for enough years to know that. This time of year, everyone is always playing out "what if" tiebreaker scenarios, but I can guarantee you that it will work itself out, it always does.

Virginia, Georgia Tech, Duke, etc will not go undefeated from this point on. And that's what would need to happen for OP's scenario to play out.

Here’s my thing

We lose to Louisville 24-21 or whatever at home, we aren’t running the table in December to win a natty.

Win an acc championship to crush that horrible “never won an ACC title” narrative

I agree, but I also question whether we should play an extra game. OSU caught a break because they were the most rested. I wonder if that plays a role.

But I also would love an ACC championship but if not being in and getting a playoff spot, I am cool with that
The goal should be getting a Top 4 seed so you get a bye and after that bye the quarterfinal game would be in the Orange Bowl, so winning the ACC is the only possible path to potentially earning a Top 4 seed
