I would like to put a different spin on the TV issues. Glancing at the broadcast schedule for Saturday, it is clear the vast majority of the games are on ACCN or ACCNX. Given the current state of contract negotiations, this relegates the league to FCS TV status. Even with Raycom and other broadcast partners, it was possible for the casual fan or others to stumble across the game or even seek it out. Only the diehards would attempt some of the more elaborate fixes to attempt to see the game. Until this is remedied, ACC football has lower visibility than harness racing.

What were the options in prior years? To get it one of the secondary ESPN channels if not on a broadcast network like ABC or the primary ESPN network. Some years, I watched many of the games on one of the foreign channels one found on Reddit. Those broadcasts were crap, with the stream coming in or out or blocked by a pop-up right in the middle of the picture.

It seemed to get somewhat better the last two or three years when more of the games were available on ESPN 2 or 3.

Sometimes, though, the games were blacked out in the D.C. area for some reason.

I don't know that this new ACCN deal makes it any worse.

The problem with Comcast is that this new ACCN potential contract is apparently tangled up with a bigger, existing Disney-Comcast contract that is not supposed to expire for another couple of years. Comcast apparently doesn't want to negotiate any new contract now which could require renegotiating the larger existing contract at this time. I think Comcast would prefer to negotiate the new contract as part of the larger Disney contract down the road.

Pretty much. Comcast says they already paying for ACC games under current contract, why pay additional cause Disney/ESPN decided to breakout games to increase revenue. Comcast/U-Verse say that would be like paying "twice".

I just checked Directly channel 612 ACCN and you have purchase it to watch.

Like the NFL , I refuse to put money in the Antonio Browns of the worlds pocket.

There’s never enough money for these people and shutting out the fan is ACC choice which is fine with me ,

Soon ACCN will be letting people go with lack of viewers again that fine with me.

WQAM 560 has an awesome play by play call with Joe .

You get what you get it’s fine with me.

ACCN isn't available in some of the biggest ACC markets. You just have to LOL at the decision making. Just goes to show it really is all about money. They could care less about the customers.

In Boston, we would get one or two other ACC games in addition to those on ESPN or the networks.. One on a local net work through the ACC/Raycom? and another on NESN, which is a local sports channel. This was as a Comcast customer. They are all now bundled on ACCN, which is not on Comcast.
