The #1 reason for optimism this season

Im not expecting a super season but we do have alot to work with. That dl should make the secondary look good especially if we r attacking. We have no threat at rb so teams will come after us as well with that bumb *** OL

No threat at rb? Yearby and Walton are not elite but are very solid capable backs.

Don't sleep on Walton. He hasn't scratched the surface. I expect a big year from him with a fresh set of coaches. Old regime had favorites. Walton should start. Gus should move to FB/HB

We will have a much better run game this year with OL starters returning and a 242 lb fast back in the game. Short yardage situations were tough last year with our 2 195 lb backs. Not to mention that when you have a power guy it opens up the field for Brad to shine. Teams will have to really respect us on 1st down with Gus in the game and our third down percentage will improve allowing for longer more time consuming drives. Our D may actually not have to be on the field for 3/4ths of the game. What a concept.

Agree completely but it CAN happen overnight...depending on what your definition of "it" is. Michigan went from 5-7 to 10-3 and a bowl win with less talent and nothing more than a flip in the mediocre coaching script. I expect and demand nothing less happen here this fall.

LOL... Mich won 5 more games in one season and you are demanding nothing less then that??

Big Butch Davis fan here, but I've told all my FSU nemesis fans that this year - we're going to beat them like a rented mule.

We've come so close so many times - and just couldn't close. Wore out. Went dumb. Sorry defensive scheme and sorry coaches.

Not this year.

FSU will be much better this year.

We went from he's quick good coach, to one of the best, and now we're claiming he's the best in the nation? I think that's highly questionable, but whatever....I just find how his status continues to grow and he hasn't coached a game here or even a practice.

You think it's "highly questionable" that Kool is the best DL coach in the nation? What's questionable about it? He turned a **** program like Missouri into the premier pipeline for NFL defensive linemen.

His resume speaks for itself. And if that doesn't do it for you, watch the 2014 Missouri/Florida game.

It seems pretty questionable that the best DL coach in the country wasn't gobbled up by the deep pocket football schools across the country. It's also highly questionable as to why the NFL hasn't come calling if he's the best in the country.

He wasn't a name people were talking about when we were first talking about coaches and one would think that the best defensive line position coach would pop up in discussions.

His resume is good, but I have a very hard time saying he is unequivocally the best at his position in the entire land. He may prove to be down the road, but right now it's still questionable.

lol kayaa one of the best quarterbacks in the country no way. Dude has been nothing but average for us.

This post is closer to accurate than all of the Kaaya is one of the best qbs we've ever had posts.... I haven't seen much of anything from him to be confident in his ability to carry the team but we'll see what this year brings.

If im the opposing team honest to god true story they dont scare me. Being at the location UM is, they should always have two backs who scare the **** out of you

Yup i dont sed us beating them regularly till we start to reload. Big butch guy here but i even thought he qould struggle year one because people think we got this all world talent n i dont see it. We shall see i could be wrong but we look dirt slow

I'm glad al is finally gone, but dabo can go **** himself. Tired of people saying thank you to that guy.

Dabo could have scored triple digits if he wanted to. He made it fast and painless. GO CLEMPSON!

Are they the U? No? Then **** him, **** them, and go find a Clemson board on which to blow dabo.

LOUD NOISES :q3XKXeX:

Pathetic to thank a guy for handing your team their worst loss ever. Was that quiet enough?

just this is all i got to say. sheldon richardson, kony ealy, shane ray, aldon smith, there are others im forgetting. no dl coach has produced mroe nfl studs then kool and by the way only richardson was a 4 star. the rest were 3 star or lower.

God bless you Dabo Swinney.

Dabo gets no thank you from me. He deserves a kick in the butt for going for it on 4th down late in the 3rd quarter up 43 points. I look forward to the day the Canes repay him in kind.

I concur with you concerning our short yardage situations, its why I wondered why Tucker and Gray never got the rock both being bigger and powerful runners in those situations.
