The “going rate”

Just look at his track record, he's never ONCE in his entire career fielded a top Offense.

His best ever was the one season in 2015 at Arkansas, they were 35th in total Offense, 27th in point per game, 33rd in rushing & 31st in passing.

Other than that, he's been pedestrian his entire career as a play caller & after Arkansas lost their veteran QB, top RB & TE, the following two seasons their offensive numbers dropped precipitously under Enox.

There's no scenario where Miami has the God awful numbers we have now & then suddenly skyrocket into the top 25 with Enox calling plays next year, it's simply impossible & will not happen under any circumstances.

Miami is DEAD LAST in 3rd conversion rate, 90th in total offense, 120th in rushing, 73rd in scoring, 76th in yards per play. 127th in sacks allowed & 121st in Red Zone scoring.

Those are firable numbers for any OC in the country, if we had an AD worth a **** Enox would've been fired the day after the Duke game.

Funny part is, Miami is probably 11-1 with those offensive numbers this year. Kicking would’ve cost us a game, maybe two, but 35th in total offense and inside the top 30 in scoring with a top 25 defense beats the absolute breaks off this garbage division.

But no. We get Mark Richt deja vu.

I want his *** gone already. There's no excuse at all to have been as bad as we were. It doesn't look like thats going to happen though. I'm impatient and it's been too long. I don't care if he has to take half his salary and pay a good OC to sit up in the stands and send him plays by semaphore or go full Richt and walk away on good terms, just get it done.

FACTS....

In caps for effect!!!

What the actual f*ck?

Wasn't Tom Herman supposed to be some "offensive genius"?? Hmmm...
The head coach has to be a CEO. Yes Herman is a good offensive coordinator but he realizes his duties require him to hire a top notch OC. He also knows your assistants better be good recruiters as well.

UCF'S OC makes $400k including bonus.
Ok States OC makes $400K
Texas Tech OC makes $600k
LSU'S Passing Game Coordinator/WR Coach ( the defacto OC) makes $400k

All of the OC's are in the Top 15 offenses in college football. Where as Dan Enos pays more that in Income tax with what he makes at Miami.

Go Canes

That's not the going rate, that's how much Texas is willing to pay, the majority of OC's in college football are NOT making that much.

The two highest paid coordinators in college football are Dave Aranda & Brent Venables at $2.5 & 2.2mill.

The highest paid OC in college football makes no more than $1.5mill which would put Enox's trash *** right up there.

Texas is essentially offering Harrell $2.17mill over 3 years to be the highest paid OC in college. They were paying Todd Orlando $1.7mill as DC, but they finally fired him & now they're upping the ante to fix their offense. Plus the have an unlimited War Chest, they're willing to spend however much it costs to get the best staff they can.

The OC's for the overwhelming majority of the top offenses in college football are not making more than $1mill & are not "going" for much more than that.

Aside from Oh St, LSU, Bama, Clemson & Oklahoma, all the top offenses OC's from UCF, Memphis, Ok St, SMU, Louisiana Lafayette, TTech, Wake Forest, ULM, Western Mich, Utah, App St, Oregon, Boise St, La Tech, Indiana, Liberty, AZ, Ark St, FAU, Minnesota etc.. all make significantly less than Enox & are more than affordable for Miami.

**** there's OC's at the FCS level that are dirt cheap who would run a better offense than us.
That's all true, and very depressing. So many guys we could have poached and look what we ended up with.

For a top notch “air raid” OC is apparently pretty steep. Texas has offered Graham Harrell 3 years guaranteed $6.5 million for their OC job. I would imagine that includes some QB coaching thrown in.....
Give me David Yost at $600k, take the extra money we are saving over Enos and go get a top notch OL

Or hire Bendenbaugh from OKlahoma

LOL, what makes you think those OC's want to work for Diaz?
If you don't have a dig-time job on your resume, it's perfect. You have to look at our offense and see the potential and think you can easily make that better. Turning Miami into a legit offense will get you a bigger job in the future. So yeah, I think there are lots of guys who would work for Diaz.

Pay Bill Bedenbaugh 3 million and you get an Offensive coordinator and a new offensive line coach at the same time. Their offense looks pretty good to me. Sick of this nickel and dime crap nowhere.

I know Texas has the largest endowments behind Harvard a handful of years ago. That’s multi billions just chilling.

Yup.

If I recall correctly, the University of Texas is the 3rd largest endowment behind Harvard and Stanford.

I do know that the University of Texas Endowment made headlines a few years ago when they decided to take physical possession of $1 billion of physical gold (bars) that they owned and were storing with various Wall Street banks.
