That was a great win...now its time to get serious

Georgie Tech beat an undefeated Wake Forest but take it with a grain of salt, as Wake Forest 3 wins are against Elon, Vandy, and Old Dominion.

Still, that’s a GT team that’s has Haynes King playing some pretty good football. The thing that scares me the most about them is his ability to run.

53 yards rushing against WF, 42 against Ole Miss, and 53 against Louisville. He’s also thrown for 300+ yards in 2 of his 4 games (threw for 290 against SC State).

This is going to be a really good test for our defense. I don’t think this will be the cake walk some of us think it’s going to be. Perfect early barometer to see how the defense responds to a true dual threat QB with a similar skillset to Travis.

The health of Matt Lee is absolutely crucial. Cristobal said that he was fine so take that for what it's worth. Assuming Lee is healthy and we get everyone back for the beginning of ACC play, we will have a very good squad that will compete for the Conference title. We will most likely be road dogs @UNC and @FSU but your point stands.

The road to the ACC title will be very challenging as our secondary will be deliberately targeted by teams like UNC, FSU, Clemson, Louisville and GT. The return of Kamren Kinchens will be an immense factor in our ability to withstand the barrage.
Agree...yes, we will face challenges for sure however the teams listed have challenges of their own. Our challenges just need to be slightly less than ours. LETS GO CANES!!!

True. All I'm saying is that this is a very good team that is well coached and plays together but don't get caught up into expecting an undefeated season. This season is going to be a fun year but we aren't quite there yet. What I have learned this year however is that we will most certainly get there.

Based on what y’all seen from the rest of CFB SO FAR..what do you guys think of Miami?..ima be honest, I was quietly highly confident about this team based on the roster…thought the prognosis for 7/8 wins wasn’t indicative of what we could do. We were hit with a lot injuries at key spots last season ontop of the OC not being a fit.

There are no teams out there that I don’t think we can’t line up with from what I’ve seen so far. An elite college Oline with an Elite QB travels & can line up vs anyone of these teams this year. From what I’ve seen around the country, there are about 12 teams (Texas, FSU, LSU, Bama, Oregon, USC, UGA, OU, Washington, Michigan, Penn state, OSU) whom can win a playoff..Unless UGA or OSU figures out offense and performs at its skill level talent ..this Miami team can line up with anyone of them and have a chance..I’m not being a homer on this..when you prove you can win multiple ways..through the air vs a talented & good A&am team then on the ground in dominating fashion in games you SHOULD..then you have a team that’s FR

This is one thing we can all agree on.

Temple had 3 big plays yesterday:
1. Couch tried to jump an out and got burned.
2. The Temple TD floater before the half.
3. TE (?) reception in the seam and big YAC.

#’s 2 and 3 do not happen with Kam back there IMO.

We won’t be needing motivation. They have destroyed us lately and disrespected us greatly.

My most hated rival.
I kind of agree, I'm really sick of that team, and how the fix seems to constantly be in on them. The few times we've beaten them, we always have to beat them plus the refs.

I agree with you. This GT squad has a very good offense that is ranked #17 IIRC in total offense, #34 in rushing offense and #24 in passing offense. Unfortunately for them their total defense is abysmal at #115 with their rushing defense coming in at #128 out of 130 schools.

For comparison Miami ranks #11 in rushing offense, #21 in passing offense and #8 in total offense. Our total defense ranks #13 with our pass defense(yards allowed) #66 and our rush defense #2 in the nation. We should score 40+ on them and we should be able to maul them with our OL and rushing attack. This will keep King and that formidable GT offense watching on the sidelines.
