Thank You Dr. Frenk

Dr. Frenk is part of the problem at the U. Now that he’s faced public criticism about his lack of concern for the athletics he’s decided to make a move. Once the pressure of the media goes away he will be back to who he truly is. He’s already told us what he thinks of the athletic side of the business. Believe him!!!

The fact that people think Dr. Frenk had any role in this outside of affixing his signature is hilarious. This was a BOT move, led by some huge donors, Frenk signed off on it, mostly because his *** is on the line as well. Don't be shocked if Frenk is out the door soon, he has been a miserable failure as a fundraiser and overall leader. Yes, he is relying on his COS to lead the search for a new AD, but let's be honest: The Soffers and other big name donors will have final say on who gets hired. If Carol Soffer wants someone like Jurich, then guess what will happen?

He told you what **** near every University President thinks about athletics. They don't give a ****, it's a loosely affiliated entity, led by a competent administrator(at most places) and funded by the people that care about said program. I'll never understand why our fanbase thinks that a University President spends any significant time worrying about the athletic department. As long as the department is running well, and the money flows from donors, the UP doesn't care.

What should get Frenk fired is that he's been a miserable failure as a fundraiser and overall leader. The student body can't stand him, he has been unable to engage the alumni and honestly, he has managed to alienate the local community even more, due to him being an aloof jackass(Not my words, but the words of people in CG who have been active in local politics and culture)

I won’t be thanking anyone until I am happy with the new guys.
He's another out of touch douche that needs to go. And another one with dental issues with all the money they make.......

I really wonder do they even care about their dental hygiene?
Well, my mother instilled that in me from young...... whatever, hire the right coaches scumbags!

Thank you, Dr. Frenk. From Miami alums & Canes fans worldwide, thank you for giving us the chance to once again strive for excellence. At its best, Hurricane Football is incredibly special & has offered so many indelible moments for alums & fans of the program. Let's now hit a home run with the AD & new HC hires. You have a unique opportunity to go down as one the most beloved Presidents in the University's history, if you get this right. You made major progress today & we're very grateful for that. Onward & upward. Go Canes!
Easy bud, we just dumped the rotten eggs into the garbage. Next is the milk jug that’s sour. We then still have to go shop for replacements before we bake the cake and hopefully eat it. Frenk the chef still has to prove he has enough flour and can bake one.

The great programs as Herbstriet pointed out have the presidents down to the ADs on the same page! You’re making my point. At the end of the day he’s the CEO of the business. Last time I checked the big football programs bring millions to the universities.

The "Great" programs are usually HUGE STATE SCHOOLS that are academic backwaters. They have gone all in on athletics because that's all they have, at the expense of the rest of the University. The exceptions are places like Ohio State, Texas, Michigan, etc where you have such huge, wealthy donor pools that you can do everything and not break a sweat. Even then, there has been friction between University Presidents and the athletic side. Gordon Gee at Ohio State had some classic clashes, mostly because he flapped his gums in public about sports, and didn't know a **** thing. Herbie isn't some oracle, and honestly, he comes from the state school model, which is significantly different than how a school like Miami must operate.

Miami will NEVER, EVER be managed like Alabama or Clemson because the school can't survive being managed that way. I know it's shocking, especially to our fanbase, most of whom have never been on campus, but the school is more, much more than what happens on 12-14 fall Saturdays. The model Miami should go with is having a high end UP that allows the athletic department to run as a separate entity, with a high end AD in charge. The BOT oversees everything, and they are responsible for providing both the UP and the AD with the support needed for both of them to do their jobs at a high level. The UP's job in regards to athletics is to stay out of the way. Period.

He got this one move right. Shalala did not & we've suffered massively for it. We badly needed new leadership in the AD & we should now get it. I studied his approach to this & the highly successful businessmen he looped to advise him & my assessment is he did the smart thing here. I graduated with honors from Wharton (after attending Miami) and worked on Wall St with elite hedge funds & in my view he's taken a very smart approach to this so far. Yes, we need to see who the AD and HC hires are but this is undeniably a good start.
Did you write this with your mask on?

Is Dr. Frenk your new Manny? Do you trust this University President and his Staph to right the ship?
You know what @Andrew is doing. He is just ...............

frenk is a ******* loser that has zero actual power or respect at the university. if you think that he actually makes consequential decisions at this point, i don't know what to tell you. he's a figurehead, nothing more.

Dude, I apologize for my vanity at 51. I’m a middle age pretty man 🤪 that just likes his teeth nice 😁.

And to finalize the deal, LMFAO, my wife and I had Invisalign a year and half ago and it was worth it!! And the pearly whites are gorgeous……. Oh and my wife’s teeth are, too, (she’s my avatar).

I hope you enjoy the corny story, LOL @TheEye

Honestly this is the first president I've heard football side of Miami talk positively about ever. Then again I was born as Jimmy was leaving and according to 30 for 30 no one likes Larry Foot either.

Also he did play key role in keeping the ACC playing last year during covid in a Safeway.

That publicity that herbstreet gave us one national TV was such that had to do something. Dona Shalala was involved in athletics but obviously didn't put this kind of involvement. When he put that letter the next day saying that his office would be more involved we know he means it. Kind of funny that the actual academic side of the school is what's going to fund the huge investment in football. Obviously betting that we can make that back and then some. Just in this day and age with as high profile a program you would think that wouldn't go in that order.
