You will find Richt excuse makers in 1, 2 3,!! Defense is the example of what you can do when go make the necessary changes to your talented athletes!!
 
Even better than last year. We've gotta have one of the few offenses in the nation that can't easily go 10-2 with that type of defense. Such a shame it was wasted
 
Canes could have ran the table in the ACC. But they wasted the number four ranked defense with a terrible offense.

Sad but what else do you expect from such a offensive guru like Richt.

Defense literally took it upon themselves to win out. We wasted one of our best statistical defensive seasons in our history. Im glad guys like Willis, JJ, Redwine, D Jax, & Mike Jax got to end their career on a positive note. They definitely deserved better

I disagree. They held LSU in check as well. To be frank, as what was mentioned during today’s telecast, if the offense held up its end of the bargain, we most likely would’ve fielded the # 1 defense in the nation.

Just look at today: Perry played 4 Qtrs and put up 52 yrds passing. Outside of a couple big runs in the 2nd half from Homer (shout out to him) our running game was stagnant. The defense has been on the field an awful lot. Just like last yr, as well.

I have nothing but praise for what they were able to do this yr. Avg. 10.1 TFL/g is absurd. They constantly gave the offense good field position this yr, w little success to show for it.

Our defense is solid. Reality is we have not played an elite offense or qb all year. Name one elite QB we have played this year. This year was a waste because we did not have one elite offense on our schedule. All we need to do was be competent on offense and we could run the table.
 
So who is an elite D? Bama? Clemson? Michigan? Lol. Y’all are dumb as ***** if you think this D ain’t the ****. Wouldn’t trade them for any D in the nation.

How many elite offenses & QBs are out there? What; O$U, OU, Bama, Clemson? Who else? How many elite QBs?

Our schedule was our schedule and what we did was play a great brand of defensive football, including against a top $E¢ opponent. Our offense didn’t play any elite defenses this yr; that didn’t stop them from chitting the bed or making those defenses look superior, did it? We have a phenomenal defense and it’s been that way for a couple of seasons, now. Last yr, third downs were our arch enemy; this yr, third downs became our friend.

I’m giving big ups to that side of the ball. Yes there were mental lapses at times, but none were detrimental or consequential to the team’s ability to win games.
