Idk if you really wanted an answer but I would say it’s because the basketball team is the exact opposite and epitome of what we would love to have in the football team.

Basketball does more with less talent and roster wise, we will never ever be out coached, and we can come back from any deficit. On top of that, we’ve been a Top 5ish team 2 years in a row.

The football team deserves every bit of criticism coming to it.
