Recruiting Buzz Around Texas

Jalen Brewster

His HC is Nick Ward.

"I find myself being more of a father in this process....I’m just here to support him through his journey.”
....
"He’s 6-foot-4, 300 pounds and can move like a running back,” Ward said. “He’s so much bigger and so much more athletic than the average defensive tackle. He’s hard to block. Some teams have trouble double teaming him. He’s every bit of that No. 1 ranking. He’s also our fourth down running back. He’s jumping over people. It’s unbelievable. He’s a **** of a player. He’s a talent who doesn’t come around too often.”
Whether Brewster follows in Ward’s footsteps remains to be seen.
But Ward will always be a Hurricane.

John Meredith

Likely to visit April 18

Jayquan Snell

Miami made a big move....Aggies are going to make it very difficult to steal him away. However, if one program can do it, I do think it’s Miami.

Brennen Lacey

one of the hottest running backs nationally right now....is not yet ranked, but that should change soon.
.....
Lacey actually made the transition from wide receiver to running back, which is why he’s a late bloomer. Upshaw has experience coaching both, which is definitely appealing to Lacey. The talented Texan will make his first visit to Miami on April 18. He is looking to set up an official visit with UM after that trip.

Tre Moore

Texas and Texas A&M are considered the favorites....Miami is a legitimate dark horse here.

Xavier "Ace" Muhammad

I do think Miami leads...The bigger in-state schools aren’t too involved here, and Muhammad is very willing to leave home.

James Foster

Ranked as the No. 28 overall recruit nationally for next cycle, Foster is looking to make his first visit to Miami at some point in the near future and has a ton of interest.
