1/3 of the game, and those hidden yards add up. Worth the investment. When was the last time Miami had a PR/KR for a TD? $1 mil sounds like a lot for a ST coach, but Miami is paying Patke 400k to sit on his thumb and do jack ****. Paying a guy 400k to do absolutely nothing is more shocking to me than paying a top ST coach 1 million. At least Texas is almost certainly going to see an improvement in ST for their money.

same reason why didn't try to retain enos. they don't need to overpay someone in which they can get a better coach at imo (not saying he sucks, but 1 mill for ST is ridiculous but at UT, money is no object but winning is)

Because they don't need him. They have player talent, a support staff capable of coaching multiple programs and a long line of coaches outside of the program willing to replace him.
