He has the number 1 dual threat freshman from last years class. I have feeling he will be starting soon. Kid is a stud

With the rise of A&M and OU on a possible upswing, it'll be interesting to see how he fares in recruiting against those two.

Texas is one of those schools that there's no excuse not to win. He may have some rebuilding to do, but he won't have long.

strong didn't get hired because things were going great in texas...

theres some rebuilding to do there.
 
They'll never have an offense worth watching but they'll have the best defense in the country in three years. But I doubt he gets three years.
He'd dominate with SoFla talent imo.

When he was at Louisville, I wondered how much of his success rested on Teddy. If Randy had that kind of a talent at QB instead of Kyle Wright, I bet he'd have had a much different career trajectory.

There are some coaches that are just plain NOT HC material-- yet they're extremely strong as a coordinator-- just like some HC's aren't cut out for the NFL.

I see similarities with Strong and Shannon-- funny how one makes it and the other doesn't.

Strong deserves a few years to make it happen, he's paid his dues. But he clearly doesn't have a "Teddy" to aid the transition. They'll give him some time, but it they don't suffer fools and won't hang with a loser like they will at the Hecht. They've got the $$$ to be impatient and move on from HC selection errors.

Unlike the U, he will have to show improvement this year.

way to much talent at Texas to get beat like that

dont care what he inherited, no way Texas loses to BYU

Malzahn made it ti the ship in his first year

Kingsbury did better at TT first year

blah blah blah that all these haters would say if this was a Miami, coach, except for one thing, hmmm
 
Texas has a tough tough schedule. They will go 6-6 they play ok state, Oklahoma, Baylor, WVU, UCLA, and their team isn't very good. The Big 12 is probably the 2nd best conference right now.
