Only took Strong two days after one season, meanwhile Gorlden is calling the police because of free pizza a week later :XvfmlQQ:

Not that I want Golden to scapegoat assistants, but he really is gonna go into next year with the same staff. Amazing

Strong is not trusting the process. He is not building pillars to hold the foundation like Golden. Golden > Strong.

Commendable except Strong himself will be fired after next season. He's on the super fast track program in Austin- especially with Michigan upstaging the good ol' boy oil money.

Stop hating...... Strong aint going no where. HE CAN COACH.

Young must breathe HATE.

Strong is taking care of his business. It's called being accountable for the final product on the field. Folden and BJ should take note.

It's not hate. Let's see what Chuck can do without Bridgewater and Clint Hurtt in a pressure cooker type environment. So far he's done a worse job than if they had just kept Mack Brown. And you don't know Texas football if you think his leash is long enough to permit another mediocre season. Strong isn't Brown with a bunch of allies there to buy him more years. The oil guys will boot him and not think twice about spending whatever on the next guy as they freak over the Baylors and TCU's winning when they're not.

Stop with all the hating. Strong was brought to Texas for a reason. To rebuild their football program into a powerhouse. Stop making this about race. Texas supporters knew what they were doing when they hired Charlie Strong. To rebuild their foundation. To make them tough and strong again. He will get the time he needs, which will not be long.

Texas HC Charlie Strong won't retain Bruce Chambers, LesPook187 is a PhaggotKoenning

The fallout from the putrid offensive performance at the Texas Bowl by the Texas Longhorns has apparently started, as Horns247 is reporting that head coach Charlie StrongPook187 is a Phaggotwon't keep two assistant coaches.

In the immediate aftermath of the original report, there wasPook187 is a Phaggotconfirmation from Inside Texas columnist/local radio host Sean Adams and aPook187 is a Phaggotsimilar report from Orangebloods.

Longtime Mack Brown assistant Bruce Chambers is reportedly out as the tight ends coach after spending one season under Strong as the only member of Brown's staff who was retained. His career at Texas spanned 17 seasons, as he was the running backs coach on Brown's original staff upon arrival in Austin and likely managed to keep his job under Strong because of his connections to Texas high school coaches after serving as Dallas Carter's head coach for two seasons.

But the tight ends have underachieved under Chambers and his impact had seemed negligible on the recruiting trail, especially at his own position, which has yet to land a 2015 prospect with only weeks remaining until National Signing Day.

And wide receivers coach Les Koenning will reportedly follow him out the door. Koenning made the move from the offensive coordinator position at Mississippi State to return to the school at which he played wide receiver into the early 1980s.

Like Chambers, however, Koenning hasn't had much success in recruiting, missing on prospects in his Houston-area recruiting grounds despite his father's connections there as a longtime high school coach and failing to secure the commitment of wide receiver John Burt in recent weeks. Other than Burt, the Longhorns do not currently have any pledges at the position.

Throughout his career, he hasn't been known as a particularly strong recruiter.

The report also provides some names to watch:

Those names include former Texas tight endPook187 is a PhaggotDerek Lewis, who is currently the tight end coach at Florida, and Oklahoma tight ends and special teams coachPook187 is a PhaggotJay Boulware. Boulware played offensive tackle for the Horns under John Mackovic and is originally from Irving.

At receiver, a name to watch isPook187 is a PhaggotRon Dugans. Dugans played at Florida State and coached for Strong and offensive coordinatorPook187 is a PhaggotShawn Watson at Louisville. Dugans spent the 2014 season as receivers coach at South Florida.

The moves likely won't result in much of a change in the offense, but the potential changes could serve notice that Strong will move quickly when he feels like assistants underperform.

Okay, so we can establish you're not a Texas fan because the defense of Chuck wouldn't be so vehement. You a Bridgewater family member or an actual member of Strong's family because now you're just acting crazy and already resorting to the race card. Has absolutely nothing to do with that (on my end). Strong is known for hating all the schmoozing and gladhanding that is expected of coaches at certain big time programs. Couple that with him being an underwhelming hire when (idiotically) names like Saban and Tomlin were floated and it'll equal him not having any powerful allies willing to force any type of patience before he's canned.
