urban meyer is lying when his lips are moving.

THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE CASE. IM SHOCKED YOU GUYS BRING THIS UP EVERY YEAR.

THE SEAN TAYLORS, FRANK GORES, RAY LEWIS. WILLIS MCGAHEE'S ALL PLAYED FOR VOLUNTEER COACHES NOT MAKING 5K A YEAR FOR COACHING.

In regards to this and the bolded. This isnt factually true. They pay their coaches more...doesnt mean the players are BETTER or less prepared.

Florida kids are generally more prepared because from an early age they have been in more pressure packed situations from the age of 9 than the other states. Florida kids begin playing football at like the age of 5 or 6 thats a lottttttt of football. SOUTH FLORIDA KIDS EVEN MORE SO.
They may be raw and didn play with the bells n whistles or strength and c...but from a straight up walking into college and playing football we are typically more prepared for college than the other states kids. Low key its been the thought on why the great state of texas cant win mnc's because their hs kids are tapped out they are what they are from on the high school level.

I'd like to think its somewhere in the middle in regards to it all. There are just so many **** former college football or local football players in the state that the coaching talent pool is always deep not saying its good but its always deep. MNW can go from michael leee harris (now a div 1 college coach) to a teddy bridgewater to a ton of alumni that would just take it on..we took roland smith from Miami central they didnt miss a beat...we took ice harris from btw he had sons take the jobs they didnt miss a beat.

Its hard to believe this when you have freshman all American teams with like 7 florida kids mentioned on it.
Volunteer coaches for varsity football programs?
I’m shocked that was ever the case, much less as recently as 25 years ago.

You bring up a great example about the coaching talent at places like MNW. But how long can a school hope to have people like Bridgewater who don’t need the money but still provide great coaching? It seems like that pool of people will continue to dwindle, especially when the Ed Reeds of the world move to Chamblee, GA to coach.

i coached hs football for free. lol at my hs alma mater i actually lost money every year i did it.

mnw has the biggest alumni or involved one in the entire state almost definitely in south florida. They are the type that would look down on a ed reed for trying to coach them as he isnt a bull or from the city lol

i think the plus coaches could start hitting ga for coaching jobs for sure though. Like a guy like macho might want lemon pepper wings from jr crickets n just hit it.

3 places in the country that people love to remind you they are from;
Texas, California and NYC.

You can’t have a conversation with people from those 3 places without them reminding you that they are from ______.
the worst is NYC...but u hit the nail on the head lol.

Florida coaches must teach at the school I believe.. and get a stipend.. Maybe 3000$ on top of teaching salary, which is one of the lowest in the U.S.
