Texas fires Tom Herman

Is this real life?

You realize Blake James is self-inflicted cancer? You realize he shouldn't be near a position like AD? You realize that nothing likely changes until we fire Blake James and bring in a competent AD with passion and autonomy?
I predict Blake James replacment will be another irrelevant yes man who knows nothing of football.

Sarkisian is better than Orgeron let's be real here...Orgeron doesn't know what he's doing and lucked out with Joe Brady, at least Sark can run a lethal offense...with that Thompson QB looking pretty good against Colorado, I bet he's the focal point in 2021 and Ehlinger is gonzo.

Shocker. They already publicly committed to bringing him back a few weeks ago.

And Texas won their bowl game. What’s changed in the last weeks that would result in his firing?
They probably heard that someone else was after Sark, and they felt they had to move fast. And they got a young QB.

They said that a few weeks ago and then it leaked that Sark hated Texas and even reached out about.the South Carolina job. I'm sure that ****ed them off.

Lol why? Alabama Offense hasn't been dominant under his watch.

He has.

NFL play calling experience
Play calling experience at Washington, USC and Alabama
Head Coaching experience at Washington and USC.

He just hit the bottle back then but he's focused now and a really solid coach, he's players love him at alabama and he does wonders with QBs. If we're being honest Sark wouldn't even take our HC job lol. He turned Down Auburn with all their Resource's
He failed with the Falcons, he was mediocre at Washington and he got fired from USC for being a drunk.

If he couldn't handle the boosters at USC he's in for a rude awakening at Texas.

This says it all! People need to stop comparing a tiny private institution in Coral Gables to what the #1 richest program in the land. This is pocket change to them and despite all of the $$ and changes, they haven’t won anything since Vince Young pull out a rabbit from his *** against USC.

They are hiring the real Bartender? Wow!

Of course, focus will be put on grades.

They're not mutually exclusive. Here is an example...

In the classroom, UCF teams have combined for 25 consecutive semesters (through the 2020 spring semester) with a 3.0 grade-point average or better. A UCF-record 253 Knights earned spots on the 2019 AAC All-Academic Team—and the UCF volleyball and rowing squads were designated as the top performing academic teams in their sports by the league.

A perfect 1000 score for the UCF women's soccer team led the way in another impressive performance by Knights athletic squads in the 2020 NCAA Academic Progress Rate data. The women's soccer program also earned an NCAA Public Recognition Award for ranking in the top 10 percent of APR for their sports. Five UCF programs--men's golf, women’s golf, women’s soccer, women's tennis and volleyball--had single-year scores of 1000 for 2017-18. A record nine Knight programs had single-year 1000 APR scores from the previous year and 10 produced all-time highs for that sport at UCF.

In addition, Knight student-athletes continue to set annual records for community service involvement in the greater Orlando area, in great part through various UCF Student-Athlete Welfare and Development programs.

Sark is an interesting choice... how much better is he than Herman?
He’s not better lol, on paper or throughout his career. Herman is 54-22 all time with a 5-0 bowl record. Sark is 46-35 with a 2-2 bowl record. One 9-win season for Sark in 7 years of being an HC (he got this one at USC).

Don’t believe Herman would’ve turned it around, but man is Sark an underwhelming hire. Urban Meyer or a guy like Luke Fickel would’ve been a slam dunk. But Sark? This is UT’s third bad hire in a row.

Focus isnt on athletics. Thats all I said. Never said that both arent correlated.

I gotta see the numbers Sark is getting. They are paying Herman and the assistants 24 million to go away, and assume they are paying Sark 5 a year for 4. Tack on assistants for Sark and you’re over 50 million, for a guy that is essentially the same and a bigger PR risk. Wild.

No surprise at all. Parents and student-athletes need to always recognize they are committing to the overall institution amd program.

Here today, gone tomorrow nature of staff makes any other belief naive.

Unseemly overall however during last recruiting cycle however and now letting Herman and company go. You are committing to our coaching staff "family", you gunna "eat" in "our system". "We" are gon win that ring here!

Blah, blah, blah.
