Texas fires Strong

He was gone even with a Win...

They've been planning to get Herman pretty much all year, which is why they blocked Houston from joining the Big XII.

This hasn't happened yet. It will but hasn't . People report this every week but it won't happen til regular season is over.

Oh it's happened - you just haven't heard it yet. Losing to Kansas is like signing his own resignation.

Can't understand why he didn't bring his bagmen with him when he took the job at Texas. When he was at Louisville they were slinging it all around south Florida.

They needed a bagman to get a bunch of 3 stars? Louisville wasnt getting big time recruits.

Strong will get a legit job days after Texas cuts ties. I wouldn't be shocked if Strong ended up somewhere like Arizona(Rich Rod is on the chopping block), where he could create a program his way. Strong jumped at a job just because of the name, sometimes a big job isn't a good fit for you. Strong isn't a politician, he isn't an *** kisser and once that became evident to the needy boosters at Texas, they went about finding ways to make his tenure a living ****. There's a reason why his agent was reaching out to Miami last winter. People forget that Texas had no legit talent on their roster when he got there, lots of star kids that didn't fit together. Mack Brown did a poor job of recruiting at the end, they didn't recruit for fit, they just took the first 25 highly rated kids that committed.
