NO reason to even discuss bringing another failure to Miami....we have already had the Three Stooges...don't need another one.
 
Strong > Mario bit Butch is a homerun hire.
Mario= meltdown and golden 2.0
Strong= some rumblings but some will be excited others will mope
Butch= crazy excited, fap worthy, shockwaves to be felt throughout the nation
 
If you want talent to be developed, An elite talent evaluator, top 5 defense,and one who recruits well in south Florida, commands respect in the area then Charlie is the guy outside of Butch and it's not even close..... This fan base is clueless, people will b*tch and complain about whoever is hired... At everyone of his stops beside Texas he was extremely successful but people are not talking about that though....Or the fact that he had everything working against him when he took the job as well as below average talent at best.... Regardless he is better than Cristobal by far. The Texas highschool schools SCOLDED him from trying to take 5 kids from Florida instead of "their" players. Let's be real Charlie would do GREAT at Miami and will fix all of the problems plaguing the program... Defense, penalty issues, winning at miami( much better talent than Texas by far on the team to begin with.....),recruiting in south Florida. Coaches trust Charlie...

Hearing Mario so much makes me hope we get Strong but by no means is he my #1 . Just anyone but Mario. I think Strong could get it done with a good OC, especially with Kaaya and hopefully Allison. Then, try to keep the influx of talent coming in at QB and he should be fine.

That's asking a lot, which is why there are better candidates out there.

Texas defense is currently ranked 87th. One slot above the immortal Mark D'Oritos, who is at 88th.

What was his rank at UF or Louisville with Florida recruits, I'll wait... Texas is devoid of talent right now... They have 6 freshman starting which is the most in the country...
 
I was hoping it wouldnt come to fruition. The AD coming out this morning and saying he is going to be there next year has got me worried. The dreaded vote of confidence...hes gone.

I'd take a bucket of diarrhea over Mario. I don't think that should be the standard for hiring our next HC though.

What the fck do I care about what he did as a DC with Urban's team or in a Group 5 conference with more talent than his opponents? Randy Shannon piled up top 5 defenses regularly when he was DC at UM. How'd he do as HC?

Talk to me about what he's doing at Texas. He made it to the big time. What's he doing IN THE PRESENT on the big stage that has you excited about him?
