Texas A&M thread

South Carolina was sure scared up 30-3.

Auburn was sure scared when it was 13-10 with 3:00 left in the 4th.

Florida was sure scared when it was 24-17 with 4:00 left in the 4th.

6-6 UTSA was sure scared when they went in and put up 24 points.

6-6 Utah State was sure scared when they put up 22 points.

They played 7 home games against two 4-8 teams, two 5-7 teams, Samford, Utah St, and UTSA. Only two of those would be considered a good performance due to a "ferocious" environment and both those teams sucked.

Josh Pate was blasting that line all over the place, that Miami isn't a good road team. They played one bad game on the road against 8-4 SMU and it had nothing to do with the environment. They blasted FSU, which was a sell out at night in primetime, and Pitt, their two toughest road games. And btw, a very bad 5-7 Miami team went into College Station a few years ago and played one of their best games of the season.

Then I will continue to expect a ton of motion into QB runs and RPOs that all make our LBs hate life. May they play their best game ever.
i said earlier that the most important players for this game are poyser and thomas and Scott (or his replacement) because of the run support they provide, which implies weakness from the LB. i hope these guys are ready because we'll need them. i'd love to see poyser upend a few of the jet sweeps, bubble screens like he did against ND and others.

TexAgs forum is straight delusional from what I’ve seen the past week and most of them appear to watch no football outside of TAMU and the SEC.

Every thread there ends up with “heueheuhe ACC heueheuhe they lost to SMU they won’t be able to handle 100K people in the stadium heieheueheh SEC

One guy even said that our team would be shocked/surprised once they see what athletes TAMU has, as if we are a g5 team
They were the same when we played them last time, it filtered from their fans, players and the media folks leading up to that game.. I think their player comment about Bain comes from the same mindset.. That smug we think we bama 2013 because we play second fiddle in SEC..

They on the clock..

Lot of talk of Miami not having a good run game based on some of the counting stats and lack of explosives before Pringle, but Miami's OL run grades and estimated line yards seem to be fine. Don't think light boxes are going to stop Miami's running.

I would think they would at least look at our common opponent to get a better gauge

There are like 3+ guys on that forum that have posted something like "Saw them live against SMU, they suck"

Lol if they think they are getting the SMU Miami performance in a playoff game.

They may need the same level of ref help SMU got though.

I've watched each one of those games, albeit while I'm "working," but just saw the UF game again, and Lagway was slinging the ball on these fools. The only real pressures were when they brought the house or Lagway moved into the pressure with his lack of pocket awareness. That's a common opponent that I wanted to gauge most, and man, if we play the big boy bully ball we did against UF against AtM, it's gonna be a long day for a whole mess of people in the stands. Go Canes!

I’m thinking we can run on these guys. That’s been evident from watching these condensed games. And I think Mario will , for better or worse, atleast test the bro ball waters early

I think the first quarter will be a snooze fest feel each other out quarter with just punts and field position game where both staffs don’t wanna make the big mistake

Having said that I wouldn’t mind an early trick play to try and quiet the crowd and get the defense sleeping being overly aggressive as they’ll be feeding off the crowd

Having played before a large crowd, this is such a myth. For those who haven’t played infront of large crowds, you are not affected by the crowd noise.

The opposing team is hearing the same noise lol. Honestly, you really don’t hear it. As a freshman, your first time walking into a packed stadium with all the cameras can be overwhelming at first.

Both teams hear the same noise

The line dropped to -3 in some spots. Very significant move at that number. If it goes to -2.5 that will be VERY notable.

Let’s smack these *****.
