Valentine:

-They are speculating about TV's foreign language credits and how LSU only asks for 1 while Miami asks for 2

-Saying this and the makeup classes he needs to do help LSU and hurt Miami

Valentine is no worries to me because he's really wanted to be here and if he has that desire he will do the work especially because his family will be on him regardless. McCray onthe other hand is gone

With this staff I don't worry about recruits anymore. I still want McCray in this class though.

Valentine's issues are not grade related, contrary to reports. He holds a 3.0 GPA and is expected to get a qualifying score when he takes the ACT. Valentine, however, needs to make up extra classes, similar to Robinson.

Valentine has a unique academic situation that could shape his recruitment. While he is in line to get all of his core credits by the end of next summer, he will graduate with only one foreign language class credit. Why is this important? While a lot of schools require a minimum of two foreign language courses to qualify, LSU does not, according to sources.

Hmmmmmmmmmm interesting, but I still think that LSU is the backup plan if everything doesnt work out here

He gone no doubt?
Everybody said even before he committed to UM that if LSU offered a and got in his ear he was gone. Especially with Robinson there now so yeah I think he's gone unfortunately

More room for DT's and safeties.

LOL @ some weak high school level foreign language classes being a reason anyone would decommit from a school they want to go to.

Terry McCray who knows, I'm having a hard time remembering an elite NFL LB to come from LSU..... can anyone fill me in?

LB is becoming a depth concern too bro. But safety is a legit concern.

safety is a concern you're right but I think linebacker will get the depth he needs to because if McCray leave I think they go JUCO for the next guy

We have Smith, Owens, Young, Jackson and Harris committed. Like I been saying, I don't think McCray is anything special.

I am not so sure that McCrary is gone just yet. Lets wait until he officially visits us before making such a statement. And the longer he stays committed, the worse chances for LSU. If he was gonna flip, he would do it within the coming weeks. After he discusses it with the fam. (Btw, this is not one of those recruits that I am just going to be okay with losing. McCrary is having a MONSTER year and is a stud. Prob will be Broward County DPOY. ONLY reason he gets no love is because his team sucks.)

McCray will essentially play the same position as McCord and Michael Smith who we are bringing in this year so I think bringing him in is more of a luxury than filling a need.

Valentine is more important to me than McCray, but I want both of them. McCray has proven his worth during his senior season, and he's shut up a few guys on this board who thought he was too slow and plodding to play here. Let's not allow for some scary news to cause us fall into old evaluations.

Valentine is ours to lose. I genuinely think that kid wants to be here and has fully bought in. Maybe a class gets in his way, but it's sounded to me like he's had a plan to get to Miami and nothing has changed on that front.

McCray and the LSU draw has always been a quiet concern. But let's not hit the panic button yet. We all know how well having a cousin around works out for you (Bostwick/Armbrister, Lane/Barrow).

I highly doubt that this writer or anyone other than a high school counselor/academic advisor has evaluated this kid's transcript..
