terry jefferson

i think sears sees the field ... he's a ball hawk, we only have one at the moment ... need more, see hail mary plays
That example is so hit or miss! Because neither one of those 3 hail marys did anything(flag I understand)but it didn't count!...and, Bryce intercepted one of them...it's to congested

Jefferson played safety and hetherman is the LB coach
Welp, nvm on the former, and on the latter, regardless, we could benefit from having a guy fully dedicated to that room outside of hetherman; but for all i know he may have a capable assistant already doing just that.

We aren’t restricted by staff size like previously times but it is what it is

There are definitely other guys that help out

terrible eyes and misunderstanding responsibilities ... i've wanted to post this about jefferson for a few weeks, but i chilled on it ... but some of this stuff is egregious ... the td against o'connor was terrible ... he was 15 yards off the ball on the snap, and still got beat, that's bad feet/technique
I mentioned jefferson a couple times. Is he an elite recruiter and a bad coach? I’m not sure if coaching is the issue or not. It seems like basics and fundamentals are bad. And a lot of times, just knowing what to do. I know some have had to play out of position due to injuries. Even with injuries, our talent at the backup position is better than most teams have as starters in the ACC. We are near the bottom. 208 passing yards per game. I would also contribute our lack of pass rush to that. Our games against FAMU and Central Michigan help those stats a lot

We gave up these passing yards to these teams
Wake- 312
Clemson -295
FSU - 305
Pitt- 334.

Aside from Ashton Daniels who threw for 377 against Alabama. All of these qbs had their biggest games passing against us. Let’s see how we end the season. I think we will get better if we get OJ and Antoine back.

EUC had a bad game. He’s been solid all season. But yah, how do you get beat deep in bail coverage and not even come close to playing the ball?

Fitz has been solid.

Lucas had a rough game back, but was solid yesterday.

Brown is Brown.

Mack has come along well

The youngsters need more experience but get have looked bad in spots. Not sure if that is coaching or inexperience.

so you want to wait until they score and it counts before it's addressed?

One thing i noticed from Pitt, is the DBs would non stop try to punch the ball out after a catch, constant swipes (Barkate, and another one that didnt work).

I liked that a lot, they bever gave up on the catch. Never seen pir DBs do that with such consistency and urgency.

Let’s talk about this.

Lopez WF: yes he threw for 313 vs us. But we also held their offense to 20 points, and he had -8 yards rushing. It also took him 46 attempts to get that 313 averaging 6.8.

Against CAL, Lopez went for 267 which was fewer than vs us BUT BUT BUT, he also had 4 passing TDs, and only attempted 23 passes for 11.8 avg attempt. He also rushed for 51 yards.

Against Stanford. Again, Lopez threw for 265 but on 27 attempts and 9.8 avg per attempt. He threw for 2 TDs and rushed for 3 more TDs and 88 yards.

Against UL. His QBR was 89. Vs us his QBR was 68.

My point is:

1. You’re wrong.
2. Pitt had their starters out there vs our freshman team. Before we called off the dogs, he had like 200 yards passing (middle of the 4th quarter). His QBR was under 60. That’s pretty ******, dude.
3. It’s obvious our secondary is depleted. Yeah the Hail Mary **** needs to be addressed, we aren’t good at locating the ball, etc. But a healthy Poyser, Bryce, Lucas, OJ, and O’Connor/JJ is top 5 secondary in the country. Easy.

Bonus: Miami has the #1 rush defense in the country. Teams are going to be passing 40-45 times a game, and yardage is going to add up. Our starting defense was great yesterday. They got off the field, they tightened up the penalties in the second half, and the game was over at halftime.

1-0. UNC is our next victim

they're definitely coaching that technique ... but coverage and footwark

Don't know if it's playcall or what but too often curls are just wide open against us
Its part of our scheme because we play country cover 3.. So its kinda like something we have to live with, but we should NOT be giving up explosives also if we are doing that.. We are starting to get leaky and thats the problem right there..
