Can Mahoney, Mayes, and McCray go next?
these guys would be gone after 2017 if I was in charge:
Rosier
Shireffs
Gray
Langham
Mahoney
Milo
Jones
McCray
Mayes
truly, we only need about 8 more guys to transfer before 2018. & that number goes down if/when underclassmen go pro.
- keep one of the QB's
- my preference on Gray would depend on whether or not Burns can stay healthy. If not, keep Gray around for depth.
- without Mahoney, Milo, & Jones, our oline depth for 2018 would look like
Seniors:
Gauthier
St Louis
Juniors:
Brown
Soph:
Donaldson
Dykstra
Johnson
Hilery
Gaynor
Herbert
Frosh:
Scaife
Reed
Campbell
??
im comfortable with those 3 leaving, if none of them step up this year and crack the 2 deep.
-McCray & Langham can grad transfer
- we'll be thin at experienced CB's if mayes grad transfers, with only Michael Jackson, Dean, Young, & Bandy returning. But with our 2018 class enrolling that fall, i think we'll be okay without Mayes.
that's 7 right there. which would allow us a class of 26 for 2018. take into consideration that at least 2 DT's will likely leave early for the NFL, our RB likely leaves early... and maybe another surprise or 2. no doubt there will be at least 1 disciplinary dismissal. We dont truly need to lose any more players, and if mayes or one of the OL decides to stick around for their senior years, it wouldnt be the worst thing in the world.. as at that point, i dont see it helping to make our 2018 class any bigger.
