“Personally I think I’m playing very well,” “I’ve been very confident in my game, comfortable watching film, knowing what to do. Coach (Lance) Guidry knows what I can do to be successful in this defense.”

“We are just playing fast – from last year everyone knows what to do now,” “We’re playing fast, physical, making sure we’re on point.”

Javion Cohen:

“I feel this is strictly a Miami blueprint that he’s been placing on us. I think it’s getting us to return back to national prominence which we once were, bringing the culture back as well.”

It’s been awesome – to perform how we perform is a great testament to how they’ve (coaches) put this line together,” “It’s been awesome being around these guys. We have one common goal, to be elite.”

“It starts in practice – giving the most effort you can, pushing yourself all the way through,” “Coach Cristobal and (Alex) Mirabal drive us a lot.”

“When I got to college I knew blocking would be a quicker way to get on the field, playing with great effort,” “So that’s what I mold my game around. (At Oregon) there were other guys ahead of me. It was always blocking, blocking, blocking. That’s where I started, molded my game. The passing game will come as it comes, but obviously I do think I would say to people I’m definitely a blocking tight end but also have the ability to run routes and catch the football. I do take pride in blocking.”

McCormack's run blocking grade is the highest of any Miami starter.
McCormick has an overall grade of 62.0 percent per Pro Football Focus, but his run blocking grade is an excellent 75.2 percent and he has a solid 71.0 pass blocking grade.

Asked about freshman TE Riley Williams: “Riley has been doing a really good job, learning the playbook, asking questions, just taking that back seat and learning as much as he can his freshman year. He’s definitely a lot more advanced than I was my freshman year.”

He'll get it at Miami. At UNC.. not a chance lol.

What a time to be alive. Wild.
