2027 Temorris Campbell Jr, LB @ Carol City; previously Chaminade

Unfortunately we’ve been here before however back then it was usually when UGA took a guy we should’ve prioritized :roll-canes2:

(Isaiah McKenzie, Elijah Moore, Juwan Taylor, Deandre Baker, etc.).

I don’t know if this kid will end up being like them; regardless, I am confident in the other talented linebackers we are prioritizing over him.

Before, we were just passing on local talent to pass on talent because they didn’t fit what Golden envisioned a WR, a DB, a LB, etc. should be. This guy has been transferring alongside Finley and a p4 RB & been on campus so the staff knows about him ofc.

If we’re only taking 2 LBs this class, it makes sense to pass. Even at 3, depending who the third is, it would be fine.
True, but I trust our evals a lot more now.

I think this was Richt's DC (and former UM Safety) Willie Martinez doing recruiting work for UGA.
**** i never thought about that, good callback. I wonder how he felt watching Richt down here in Miami.

Anyways, he was recently fired at Tennessee and I don’t see any program that’s picked him up. Dude may have hit the end of the road coaching wise.

If I recall, Martinez was not a very popular DC at UGA, especially fan base and boosters. Richt had to be "encouraged" to get rid of him. Since that time, he has been fired more often than a Navy ship canon at sea during WW2.

I wish we could get Randle and Mayfield. I will guess we get one of them. I wish I knew what they found on Gouda that has stopped us from recruiting him because I have been on that train for months. I hope he is one we are sneak recruiting, but I am not counting on it.

Ole miss is still scoring on him with all those 5 star kids ! Imagine when it drops to 3 star talent mixed in with a few 4 star dbs .
The same ole miss that was scoring all over our Miami team? They one we barely beat by 4ppints after their star rb (one of the best in the country) was hurt early in the game on a 70+ yard td run? I get talking shi* , but that wasn't a great example using a crb playoff team known for their offense. Especially considering we barely beat them and UgA ado was up 2 scores at the half after starting the game with 5 starters out injured including one starting safety, then had their replacement starting safety kicked out the game before we the half for "targeting" and I remember hearing 2 or 3 other starters went down or out at points in the gamr. (After looking it up cj allen went out for a period of time, he also was 9 days off a all repair surgery, they also lost their other starting lb raylen wilson somewhere in the 3rd , in almost comical fashion kj bolden their star saferyb that had manned the one opposite where they lost all the other guys had to leave the game for a bit although he came quicker than the others, and I did forget this one their best rb Nate frazier went out late with a knee injury as he was catching fire running possessed with ole miss looking to have no answer.

Look I know most dont like to show any leniency or fairness when discussing this sport, but thats ridiculous. Im just saying there is no need to be that fanbase trying to kick them when they are "down" when downnfor them has been 10/11 win seasons and conference championships before a cfb playoff birth. Oh as if all that didnt tell the story it appears they were literally one of the youngest teams in all of cfb. After years of sending so many draft picks they hit a rebuild year where they were the youngest team by far in the playoffs and out of all teams in the country like 2nd to youngest maybe 3rd. Again, im just saying b4 we get ahead of ourselves tradh talking them like they've had some serious regression and would be some easy win we should consider all the relevant context t behind their last couple seasons.

Oh yeah as for the 3 star stuff I wouldn't hold my breathe They still are yet to have a recruting class finish worse than 5th nationally in the decade+ kirby has been there. The real kicker is when you look closer at what hes done he has probably put more 3* into the nfl and made into nfl stars, than any other major.program, with some 1st rounders and others who probably should have been.

If the man can do anything, it has always been recruiting (current football has made that less of an advantage, stealing that skill from the game with Nil) and Developing players. Shoot you all had to see all the nfl guys and scouts talking about his program around the draft last couple years They all unanimously praise him for doing a superior job to the rest of cfb. Claiming their players come in more well prepared and ready for success than anywhere else. These are teams and coaches with no ties or affiliation too. I

Just some notable guys lesse ranked or not 5*: ( yes he has had some stacked rosters, but the he only is good bc of the talent thing seems like one of the biggest misrepresentations in sports):

Ladd mckoncky was a 3* hs qb, and (2).pick in 2nd rd in daft (should of been a 1st rd pick & his rookie sesson finished top 10 statistically as a wr).

Jordan Davis was a 3* 1st rd pick NT. just signed the largest nfl contract for a nose tackle in nfl history.

Eric Stoke was a 3* safety 1st rd pick been really good but had some injury issues it says

DeAndre Baker 3* cb 1st rd pick still playing in nfl I believe

Javon Bullard 3 * most sites w/ a low outside top 300 4* on one site .was picked in the 2nd rd still starter and big time player

Leonard Floyd was a 1st rd top 10 pick was tabbed a 3* transferring from prep school although be was originally a slightlybm better 4* back when initially out of hs..

There are probably more, but younget it. Doesn't even begin to scratch the surface on all the 4stars or just how much success all these guys have had in the nfl from 3* to 4* or 5*, but his proven track record of taking dudes and molding them into draft picks is elite. Its the consistency that separates him bc anyone can send a a solo guy who just happens to have a bad eval and be under ranked. Like malachi toney for instance No way he shoulf have been a 3* the guys he takes and sees more in and thenngets them to perform as good or better thsn most 5*s isnt a case of a bunch of ready tonplay ballers that somehow were underrated for whatever arbitrary reason.

I dont want to go out sounding all negative so ill end with these positives. With Nil and no rules in cfb anymore combined with portal/tampering etc. It has made it so that he can no longer sign all the guys who want to play with him. Teams can tempt them away with offers so large and over thentop they cant turn them down and so he no longer can keep the depth of talent he got and developed so deep he can overcome bad luck and injuries like he hasnt been able to the last few years in the playoffs. So it is one positive to this new era and bring him down a peg that we can make sure to give ourselves a xompeteove advantage by taking his depth to an extent that if he has a certain amount of injuries it eventually becomes too much to overcome. Where he once seemed like he could roll his 5th string walk ons out there and dog walk all of crb. I respect him and honestly he even deserves some credit for Miamis rose back to relevance after those really rough 18 years. Its his philosophy and style that Mario takes after, prioritizing the trenches etc. And being physical that finally allowed Mario to solidify his footing. Its straight from kirby, but admittedly yiu could say that about most of cfb. Seems like every time you turn the TV on or watch a video its somene asking kirby stuff and be answers with his stuff and style and then you see all the other coaches a week later or more standing uo ingrown of microphones basically plagiarizing him word for word. Whether its Sarkisiian at Texas (they have sever little bro syndrome) claiming they dont spend money or do bid wars prioritizing relationships...I mean that one couldn't be more kirby amd further from the truth for those overhyped losers anyway, im not trying to say go become a fan. I just thought it was worth laying out the facts and truth of it all bc id feel bad if I knew ppl were going trash talk folks saying stuff about 3* and basically leaving them hung out to dry to be murdered, cooked, and burnt to a crisp when they fire back with what id assume their fan base had more they csn go to. That was mostly a quick Google and some from memory leading up to cfp and draft time.

It’s his philosophy and style that Mario takes after, prioritizing the trenches etc.

I am hoping you copy and pasted that from someone else on an Ole Miss site instead of wasting 30 minutes of your life typing that just for no one here to actually read past the first two sentences. SMH
