Tee Martin

I think Applewhite is the guy with Fedora having a deadline of a certain time today to change Mannys mind and Tee has been hit up as a potential wr coach/ passing coordinator if Applewhite is the guy. Tee putting himself out there for UM to me meant he was always available for us and Manny is taking it seriously but that's just my guess

martin wants the miami rumors out there while he negotiates his WR coach contract with tenn

I think this is a much more realistic target. Tee is an excellent recruiter and I think everyone is freaking out over last year and ignoring his previous 2 years. I would absolutely need to see an experience OL coach to come with him and they would need to grab Seider as well or it's not worth it but that's just me

USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin however places much, if not most, of the blame on the players not executing. The coaches recruited these wide receivers and are responsible for their development along with Darnold’s development as well. Furthermore, college football players are young, unpolished, and mistake prone. Most players will never make it in the NFL and the few that do usually need quite a while to get prepared to compete in the pros. In other words, if you are going to be a college coach you need to be able to win with mistake prone youth that do not execute at an NFL level. If your game plan requires this from your college players then your game plan is bad. And here we have arrived at the real reason the USC offense has disappointed -- Tee Martin, Clay Helton, and the rest of the offensive coaching staff have failed miserably.

I agree with this completely. Other teams win with the same kinds of kids. The key is choosing the right kids and then teaching them in a way to reduce the mistakes and makes the mistakes the do make less important. All that goes back to the coach.

Lmao at people on here really thinking we're going to all of sudden start having recruits stay home instead of going to Bama, UGA or Clemson like they have been for the past 15 years cause of one dude.

If we don't hire an innovator on offense that can win with the guys we have now we won't ever be attractive to the top recruits. If this is the hire Manny is a ******* idiot.

Simple say that when he's bringing top 20 offenses too and don't just underestimate a young wr group ailing with injuries, drops and not learning the playbook like you should

What do yo call having a top 20 offense in 2 out of 3 years then?

Having a generational talent at QB playing against some pretty dreadful PAC12 defenses.

Answer me this. If his top 20 offenses in the last 2 out of 3 years should be something we use to support hiring him then, why did he get fired? Why wasn't this significant enough for USC to justify keeping him?

This is getting absurd

It's clear that Manny doesn't want this out and people are just so hungry for something that they are latching onto anything possible and running with it. Typical South Florida journalism. Wouldn't surprise me if Tee ended up on staff based on his tweet from last night when the former USC kid committed, but how anyone can conclude that it automatically means he will be OC is beyond me.

If Football Scoop is saying Tee isn't coming here as OC, I believe them.

They've been pretty much right about everything they report.
