Bill Belichick was fired by the Browns.

Nick Saban was "just fired" by the Dolphins.

Sometimes, through no fault of the coach, things don't work out. USC needed a scapegoat (even though the struggles this year were due to poor OL play and a failure to bring in a QB behind Darnold as a bridge to JT Daniels - sound familiar?). Martin was that guy.

The scapegoat take I can understand. He had success, but 5-7 is 5-7 no matter what way you slice it. He succeeded with 1 of the best young QBs we've seen in recent history.

Offenses at USC were good until last year, with no QB, but he was also good with a 1st rounder playing QB, so does that make up for his play-calling and schemes? I guess if he was elite, the offense wouldn't have looked as bad as it did last year, but not having a QB cripples an offense. I could see him safely being brought in as a Co-OC kind of deal, also coaching WR's, maybe like Duggans, with Seider getting the Co-OC, in charge of the running game type position. That would be a recruiting coup. But they have to get an elite OC to draw up the offense and call the plays.

Brock we could hire f-ucking jOn as our OC and you would somehow hype it up. Stop blindly liking everything the coaching staff does here. LOL @ Petrino being one of the best playcallers in CFB.
Tf are you even talking about, I was High on tee Martin before applewhite was even mentioned now stfu and hop off my d*ck

Miami "insider" reporting has been atrocious this offseason. I'm still riding with Stefan. I think the admin got spooked about Applewhite doinking a student and just wanted to finish their diligence, as well as see what happened with Fedora interviewing for HC positions. I think those were the only two real candidates.

I hope the real story is Martin coming as Co-OC to one of Applewhite or Fedora who are given the full OC title (similar to defense titles). That would be an A+ hiring by Manny if it's the case.

Y'all arr really funny for saying Tee can't coach. The qb coach held Darnold back so his rs freshman year he started on the bench and when he went him Tee helped him be a top 5 potential pick in his first year. Second year they had a top 10 worst oline in the country with only 1 capable wr and still was productive as **** productive enough where if he did it here we'd have gone 12-0. Now yes he was relieved because he had a 17 y/o HS senior as his qb and Clay Helton to save his job blamed Tee but let's not front everybody wanted Helton gone he was the trash coach Tee was blamed and now USC has their **** in their hands with no oc right now. I'll believe this news when I see it from somebody I actually trust
