Tee Martin

If Miami hires Tee Martin as the only OC it will be as bad as promoting Manny as HC.

Would be a typical Miami move to hire a OC that USC **** canned for incompetence.

Does anyone know about the source Clint Brewster?
Just because Tee Martin was on twitter spouting off Miami stuff doesn't mean he's going to be the OC.

If this is true, it’s time to buy stock in Makers Mark, fellas. I’m gonna be gassed the whole ****** season.

Absolutely. I'm talking strictly offense, though.

But yes, Venables SCHOOLED Locksley and Tua on Monday night.

But there's a reason BV is BV...he's getting 2 million a year to coach defense. You can't expect to hire Brent Venables. Martin would be a very fine choice here.
Anything Chuck Norris can do, Venables can do better.

You DO NOT hire someone who was just fired. Miami OC is basically an upgrade for him. USC just went 5-7 under his watch.

Bill Belichick was fired by the Browns.

Nick Saban was "just fired" by the Dolphins.

Sometimes, through no fault of the coach, things don't work out. USC needed a scapegoat (even though the struggles this year were due to poor OL play and a failure to bring in a QB behind Darnold as a bridge to JT Daniels - sound familiar?). Martin was that guy.

Applewhite was just fired, fedora was just fired yet we were going after them.... Martin only called played through the half of the season this year. This is a lazy take, petrino was fired you wouldn’t hire him?

By all accounts, Tee Martin sought out the Miami job. He definitely was not hurting for offers, so the fact that Miami is his preference (and probably his wife's as well) speaks volumes and should not be discounted.

Of course, wanting something means nothing if you aren't qualified or don't get the job done. He's really no different than Coley in terms of scheme.

After all this time we’re going to go with the guy who was mentioned while richt was still HC? That would be insane.

But either way, does he run the spread that manny wants? I don’t know much about him.

Some of you saying that he hasn't proven himself as a playcaller aren't looking at facts. He had USC at #17 and #10 in total offense both his years at USC before struggling this past season.
Funny how that works once Sam Darnold is no longer his QB.

Coley ain’t never had 2 top 20 offenses

They were fired as head coaches, not for the same role that you are hiring them. This is an asinine comparison.

BIG difference between hiring one of two guys that were fired as Head Coaches and hiring a guy who was stripped of playcalling duities and fired as OC just a month ago. Can you imagine the negative recruiting and the laughter? LOL!

Sure, except he's MUCH better at calling plays than Mark Richt.

Mark Richt, in 20 years as a HC (some as a play caller, some not) had ONE (1) top 20 offense.

Tee Martin has had 2 in the last 3 years.
So, why was he fired? Why was he hated by USC fans? Is this really a forward thinking, innovative OC we all want? Can you honestly say that?
