Tee Martin

I’m not buying this just yet.

Gotta wait until Tee starts following more Miami people on Twitter.... then we will know.

I’m tracking flights from LAX, I’ll be sure to post another thread when I find new info.

Simply not true. A play caller that can't do well calling plays SUCKS with no matter what talent you give them. See Richt.

Sure, except he's MUCH better at calling plays than Mark Richt.

Mark Richt, in 20 years as a HC (some as a play caller, some not) had ONE (1) top 20 offense.

Tee Martin has had 2 in the last 3 years.

I'm good with it. We don't get the luxury of hiring home runs. Picking guys up and coming is the only way we get an inside the park home run.

I'm not saying I like the hire......if it is true, but how do any of know for sure that others were realistic? Not going off your assumptions. It may be that they have something else in the fire or just didn't want to come to the U. Some of you idiots even pegged guys like Lane Kiffin for OC........He's a freaking head coach. Get out of your fantasy worlds.

For recruiting yes. For actual on field performance? Nope. Nothing against Seider. He is a good coach and great recruiter. Martin is not a good coach.

Do you guys think Clemson and Alabama were in the NC game this year because their coordinators are great play callers?

It's called TALENT. You need talent.

Losing a generational talent at qb and a very productive rb in college. Starting a true freshman who should have been in highschool last year but went up a grade.

Or maybe his offenses looked good because he had a generational talent at QB and the PAC plays no defense.

So as a USC alum, I love Tee Martin as a position coach. However, I will tell you he is not a good OC. He was so bad that he was stripped of his play calling duties. He is unimaginative and can not game plan. He was routinely out-coached.

Again, I would love him as a position coach, but calling plays is a no for me. He is a premier recruiter.

Yes, Clemson absolutely was in the NC game this year because their coordinators are great play callers, and great developers, and great recruiters.

What type of system does he run? I vaguely remember seeing USC in a lot of pro sets which would be very disappointing, I wasn’t as concerned with who the OC hire was as long as it was a spread system.
