Had 2 good years. You have no idea what you're talking about. Top 20 offenses in his first 2 years at USC calling plays. Exit Darnold, enter JT Daniels, a true freshman who only played 3 years of HS football, and they had a bad year. Add in the fact that he's literally one of the best recruiters in the entire country, bar none, and you've got yourself a pretty solid candidate.

The kid he got stuck playing (and of course recruited and landed) was a 5-star QB. He just struggled last year.
