Ted Hendricks Reincarnated?

Don't like that Richt thinks it's a steal. Such pulls should be expected. Who'd we steal him from?

While I am genuinely excited about G.R....... EVRYONE NEEDS TO....CALM...DA....***....DOWN. Lets not anoint him so much that we simply set him (or ourselves) up for failure. That is, start making premature predictions and as soon as/ if life happens with this KID......we start to then lable hi a jag, etc.....Many of those trippin on Malik (I appreciate him for what he has done but also think we can do better) are the same ones calling him ice veins or jockin on his ars when he was winning.

Slow the *** down and simply enjoy the fact that one of our young pups showed up when some lights came on. Lets see if the trend continues as the lights become brighter

Solid point.

The kid could have a ton of potential but who knows, it might take a whole season or more for him to adjust to the college game and be really productive. This is very common, even with the most talented players.

Just because he’s getting big hype now, it doesn’t mean he’s coming out like he was shot out of a cannon, getting three or four sacks a game. People have to remember that he’s not yet a fully complete football player, he wasn’t that in high school. He wasn’t playing football that long and he was basically just doing one thing in high school.

I think he could be a unique, singular star, but it may take him some time to make the adjustment to the college game, maybe even over a year.

Remember, Garvin didn’t really start flashing until towards the end of the year, and Garvin was a lot more solidly built.
 
Don't write off using him in TE in certain situations. Can you imagine a team trying to defense Mallory, Jordan and Rousseau in a goal line situation?

When Ted Hendricks was a senior, the coaches planned to use him at TE in some situations. I think they said the idea was to give him more exposure for purposes of the Heisman. I don't think they ever followed through on these plans.
 
I think the kid is legit. Richt have been around some pretty good players at his stops. Richt's talking this kid up since winter conditioning. I don't remember Garvin or Jo Jackson getting this kind of praise from Richt. Barring injury this kid will be starting before the season is out and that's not a knock on any of the quality upperclassmen ahead of him. His speed and length is **** impressive.
