True freshman Greg Rousseau, in his college scrimmage debut, led or tied for the team lead in tackles (seven), tackles for loss (five) and sacks (four).

“We think we stole one,” Richt said of Rousseau, a 6-foot-6, 225-pound former three-star recruit from a small local school, Hialeah-Champagnat. “He’s tall, he’s got long arms, he’s athletic, he’s coachable, he’s teachable.”

This is great news, it is only one scrimmage but there have been several tweets, blogs, reports etc reinforcing your comment. We need a couple of our freshman to contribute immediately along the Dline. We lost alot of talent. If Mac and Norton would have stayed I think we would have made the playoffs.

Agreed. Due to Kools lack of numbers, we’ll need quality snaps from Rousseau and either Nesta or Miller. Even if 1 of them stayed that would have made a world of difference.

He’s an elite athlete at the de position. Look how fast he is on the first play

I hate when people try to move players (especially ones who haven't had a chance at their first position yet), but maybe he could play a little TE?

Given our **** depth at DE, I think we need him there. Neither spot has much depth. Hopefully Jordan and Mallory come ready to play.

First Greentree All American, no doubt the kid looks to be the goods but let’s not put him in the position of having to be spectacular or he’s a bust.

True, if we're going to rely on freshmen TEs, we might as well stick with the ones we recruited there.

See, there's no need to rush off trying to change guy's positions all the time.

Just to think, during last years recruiting cycle, this board spent so much time hyping up Chatman and Chatield, who were not even committed to us. Meanwhile, Rousseau, who never wavered, was the lone DE commit that many idiots viewed as a consolation prize.

haha obviously its way early and it all depends on the work he puts in. I've had multiple players tell me he's been standing out nearly every single practice and is ahead of where Joe Jackson and Garvin were when they first arrived. The onus is on him but he's got a body and athleticism that is rare
